    Great info on this thread, good to know I am not alone in only getting 2k pts so far!

  • Hi I also phoned up MBNA think they are doing a hoover and trying to get out of paying 8200 points, quoted the letter sent to me by sony on 9 nov which state's 8200 3times. was told this was a mistake and did I receive a letter telling me so.
    They will b phoning me mon or tues, better do copys of letters ready to send of to watchdog.

    Just got off the phone from MBNA. They said that they are aware of the problem and will be sending out an ammendment to all customers showing the full 8200 points in the next few days.

    Will have to wait and see if that happens!
  • I also only received 2000 points.

    Just spoke to some one at MBNA who advised they are aware of a problem and that in fact MBNA give you 2000 point and Sony give you 8200 point so you end up with 10200!!

    He said Sony credit 30days after your statement which in my case will be 20 DEC as I only got my card last week.

    Guess I will wait and see , not worried about using the points for Christmas I always treat anything thats free as a bouns.
  • I heard about this offer from Sony on the radio today. I've just applied for the Sonycard and been accepted.

    Reading through this thread though doesn't fill me with confidence. Is this a genuine mistake by Sony and / or MBNA or are they trying to pull a fast one with everyone?

    I'm in no rush for the 'free gift', so i'll sit back and see if the points naturally appear.

    Phoned Sony Card (08700362444), phone answered in 5 seconds, confirmed that I did have 8200 points, statement only shows 2000, MP3 player ordered and will be with me within 28 days. :rotfl:
  • Same story as most. Only got 2000 points plus extra for whatever I'd spent. I phoned Pulsebeats this morning, they confirmed that there was a problem and that I was on the list of those who would be credited with the correct points. I suspect, however, that when I try to get the mp3, it will not be availalble. There seems to be a lot of interest on this site alone, who knows how many others will be trying to land one?

    Here's hoping.
  • Much the same happened with me, awarded me 2000 points plus the 39 for my first purchase. I phoned the pluspoints number 0870 036 2444, they told me I did actually have 8239 points, seems my statement was sent out before the 8200 points were added. They took my order for the 516mb mp3 player there and then and told me it would be about 28 days...Sorted!:j
