I have phoned both Sonycard and MBNA, I am really annoyed now!
Both deny any knowledge of the 8200 points and put the onus on the other party. They are both looking into my case and say they will contact me by the end of the week. I think really they are just trying to put us off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All I want are my points as the letter says!

I also applied for the card and have only been credited with 2000 points.
I phoned customer services, who said they would have to check with marketing, and they will get back to me within 5 working days. The chap I spoke to at customer services did acknowledge the offer and said he could not understand why I had not received the full 8200 points.
By the way have people received any correspondence from "Pulsebeats" yet? Such as membership number etc0 -

Well went online and checked my points and got normal points for my spend plus a bonus 2000 points for joining.
Not the 8200 I was promised from them. Got straight on the phone and after the obligitory long wait finally got thru.
The chap I spoke to has sent an email to the dept that deal with it and apparently I will get a response within 10 days. Made them aware that i had kept a copy of the website at the time I applied which might be a good move to do if you are disputing your points as at least they know you have some evidence.
One final point... the chap said to me at the end.. " Do you use the moneysavingexpert website?"
"I have heard of it" I said "why?"
"Oh its just lots of people have been applying for this card since reading it on that site and also I notice you purchased a Dell computer which is discussed on that site quite a lot"
"oh I said, I must have a look at that sometime"
THEY ARE ONTO US!!!
P.S If the guy I spoke to is reading this, thanks for your help! You can understand why I might have been a bit cagey with you!
Best of luck and I will post back when I hear. He assures me I will be contacted. Apparently the points can take up to 28 days after your most recent statement date to be amended so looks like a pretty long wait, but if not heard back in 10 days I can ring back and they will let me know outcome.0 -
Well, the page for the 8,200 points offer is still up on the net. I have the web address and will be giving it to them, along with the terms and conditions on that page saying that the account will be credited with 8,200 points to redeem against the mp3 player.0

I have the same problem with only getting 2000 rather than 8200, but spoke to MBNA people on 080062062, they reckon the point will get redeem on the next statment...
also got a letter from them explain the offer, so we should be ok... ^^0 -
Its disappointing that it's not as instant as they led us to believe - we shouldn't have to wait or pick up the phone...
and if it's true that it's next statement, meaning, our second statement, and then up to 28 days for delivery IF its in stock, then that's a long time to wait.
I Am being pessimistic but on the optimistic side they have to give us the points, esp as myself and a lot of others now have written confirmation of the deal.0 -
I have just received a call from Sonycard and they have said I will get the full 8200 points. Sonycard have told MBNA to add the points to my account but are not sure when this will happen. The lady on the phone said it should be within 10 working days!0

I've just phoned to check my points balance. They said 2000 plus the points for my spending. They said that they were aware of a mistake and my name and details were on a list to be amended to the full 8200 bonus points and thought it would be 14days. I would recomend anyone who doesnt get what they were promised to contact them asap. I hope mine get added in time to order the mp3 player for a xmas present
I rang the Sonycard number for redeeming pulsebeats, its 0870 036 2444.
I did get a mini a5 pulse programme catalogue with my letter which confirmst 'Dont miss out on 8,200 points, Use your SonyCard now!!!
Have kept this as my evidence and mentioned it on the phone0
