I too have just received my card. It would appear that the points appear after first statement. No big deal for me as I already have a Sony 20GB MP3 player. WOnder if I'll get the full 8200 points - and wonder what I'll but if I do0

i have had my sonycard for just over a week. i made my purchase to qualify for the 8200 pulsebeats straight away adn have been checking my mbna account online daily since that to see if the points were credited. today they were.. but only 2000 plus the 27 for the £27 purchase i made. as i have written confirmation from them that i will get 8200 if i made a purchase in 90 days i'm totally confused.
phoned them and theyre looking onto this with their marketing dept as they're as confused as me. feel a bit fobbed off esp as marketing will take 5 working days!!! they also tried to fob me off to wait till next months statement as it has to go 'full cycle' well i wasnt having that as i'm sure none of you will
i will keep u posted and would like to know how others get on
PS pulsebeats are displayed on the statements tab. i have only been able to do this since this morning, until then the statements tab has been blank.0 -
My wife received her card a week ago and has bought a few things with it. Her online statement also shows just the purchases and 2000 points
Anyone get the impression that they will only give the MP3 players to those that complain and hope that most people forget about it?0 -
Advert on sony/mbna site was showing that you would get enough points on first purchase with card to be able to get the mp3 player, so I am sure it is just a technical glitch, let us know how you all get on and I will keep you posted re mine.0

I just checked my balance and I only have 2000 points too
what has everybody done about this?

My points haven't shown up yet, but when they do, and if I only have 2,000 instead of the advertised 8,200, I shall be phoning them up and complaining. I signed up to a contract, in the belief of the reward of enough points to get a mp3 player. If they break this contract then they are at fault, and should credit our accounts with an extra 6,200 points surely?0

Hi all
I am having a really hard time getting hold of my free 8200 pulse beats.
Anybody managed to get the full 8200 points? If so, how on earth did you manage it??

Right. I have just checked my account today, and my statement now says, I have 2027.45 pulsebeats. I should have 8227.45 pulsebeats.
I signed up to the card via the link Martin posted saying 8200 pulsebeats, enough for an MP3 player, and I have not got this. I will ring them at lunchtime, but just to check, who has rung them already? What did they say? If they don't give me the extra points, I will just tell them to cancel the card, as I don't need it, and only got it for the offer.0 -
Their site QUITE clearly said that after first purchase you will have enough points for the mp3 player ( I even saved a copy of the site on my hard drive in case).
I quote from the small print...
*To be eligible for this offer you need to apply for the Sonycard Credit Card and use your card within 28 days of the account being opened. Your account will be credited with 8,200 Pulsebeats which you can redeem against the Sony 512MB flash memory MP3 Walkman. MBNA reserve the right to offer an alternative gift of equivalent or greater value. Not for resale. Available to all uk residents only responding to this offer who have met the above criteria. In order to ensure that your gift is sent, we will need to pass on your name and address to the organisation that will despatching it on our behalf. Terms and conditions apply. Full details will be sent to you once your account is opened.
Cant see how on earth they will wriggle out of it, T&C pretty clear. Lets just hope it is an admin error on their part.0 -

Oh well, I will keep that clause by me when phoning them up. I used it the day it was activated, the day I recieved it. Maybe all the points will be added at the end of the month I don't know?0
