I was just having a flick through the news and saw THIS article. I thought it may be handy for anyone after one of these machines.

Tesco has also said it will have limited supply of the consoles on sale in 130 of its largest stores from midnight.
"I think I'm gonna try just lurking around in Tesco from about 11pm and see if that works," said a gamer in a posting to a forum on the Xbox Scene site.
"As Tesco aren't doing pre-orders, this may be the best solution."How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Not all stores allow their employee to do that but some do. To be honest, I don't begrudge someone who's on not much more than minimum wage (and not very good terms and conditions) being able to take advantage of one of the few perks of the job.EGG are a bunch of complete bankers!0

I had the same idea but the tesco in bathgate has allocated them to the 1st 4 people that started Q'ing up a few hours ago so our 11 O'clock idea doesn't stand a chance0 -
Only 4 consoles.
The Tesco buyers will be getting a telling off by their bosses for not getting hold of more and cornering the xmas market.

I have mine ordered with Currys, coming via DHL tomorrow morning - am at work overnight in any case so wouldn't be able to do the 'sad thing' of waiting outside in the rain in a queue.
It isn't, or rather, wasn't, rocket science to preorder it months ago and avoid the silly prices doing the rounds now.
I, in some respects, look forward to checking the eBay section of the board, for the number of people who get scammed. The 360 will be a scammers paradise between now and Christmas.0 -

No it wasnt rocket science but i'd imagine loads of kids only decided they wanted one for christmas probably november onwards and even that was too late for most parents to make preorders.
I have one ordered on play247 since 28th august and one ordered on amazon since 18th august and neither of them have made any move to change my order status to anything that would imply i'm getting one anytime soon.
It will be frightening the number of people who will be scammed. There are so many people with a feedback of well below ten, previously selling or buying the odd cd now professing to having a stock of these 'on the way' and people are sending them sums in excess of £500.
On the other side of that, how many sellers will remember to post via a online trackable method as someone could simply say they never got it and do a paypal chargeback....
I really really hope either play or amazon deliver the goods and i DONT have to put my head in the lions mouth by buying one on ebay...0 -
i think that's a scam, look at the bidders listThe word is BOUGHT, not BROUGHT.
It's LOSE, NOT LOOSE.
