I went into Leamington thinking it would be open from 10am til 4pm.
As soon as the shutters went up to let the punters in, what I would call a 'typical British' thing happened.
Some dopey tw*t asked if they had any X-Box 360 consoles.
I couldn't believe my ears.
This country really is full of uneducated, brain dead people, many of which have too much time on their hands.
It may be sad, but when mine arrived I had a good laugh. Knowing that there would be many thickos driving around looking for one, when mine had been couriered to me (for free, too, via a discount code gained from viewing a thread on MSE).
We might be one of the better nations in the world, but we sure as hell haven't got the most intelligent people.
Well I did the same as you and ordered online with a discount code. But I wouldn't go around calling others unintelligent and/or thickos. Whuppeedoo, you got an XBOX 360 before some others. How intelligent!!!You'll Never Be Rich Working for Someone Else0 -
Well, sorry, but I would.
How long have people had to pre-order this console?
They then go into a shop 2 days after release asking for one. Despite the many things in the news about how they sold out within hours.
That is stupidity to me - and as I said, they have too much time on their hands. Must have been a dead end Sunday for them if they had time to chase something they must surely have known they wouldn't get.
I have sympathy for those let down who went to Amazon, and indeed Game, with pre-orders. But for those that go looking two days after release, that is just plain stupid.0 -

Well, for all we know, he could be a millionaire who just got back from holiday and by the off-chance see if he could get one? So I wouldn't call someone (if they were) in this catergory unintelligent. You'll Never Be Rich Working for Someone Else0 -

Yup. Having said that there have been cases of people getting that one last machine that wasn't preordered - some game stores were like that for example...0 -
agreed, I know someone who picked up a core package with games at the weekend from GAME without a pre-orderYou'll Never Be Rich Working for Someone Else0

As long as it brightened up your day mate!!!
No doubt he wont be able to get one for a while, he will probably even leave it now for a few months when they are as common as dog shi!. Then he will get 1 for half the price as you paid, then whose the tw*t?0 -
Here's something fun for you all. Especially if you are in Livingstone:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=8239781361&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
It apparently seems to be the manager of the Livingstone game selling 8 of the stores 10 premium packs on Ebay. Hmmm.
Might be worth emailing Game to mention it - apparently one person that did got a £1 voucher for the online store for doing so. I didn't though.
Worth a try though.0 -
This could also be someone getting revenge on their local Game manager thats' let them down.
Check out the sellers name 'RobinWiliamson' ? As if the store manager would use his full name, that's if it is his name.
Also the feedback rating of (0) ?
I'm betting it's a fake / joke auction.0
