this cannot be unlcoked remotely, you will need to find a shop that can unlock direct

Is it possible to unlock an LG8110 phone that was on the three network ? Can it be used on an ordinary network eg Tesco ?

yes it can be unlocked but no free codes
i depending on which s/w version it is i can do it if you cant get it done locally or lmk where you are and i may know someone near you

then goto software and version should be there
Or you can just go through the phone menu and find "handset information"
i cant do v104 onwards, but others can
you may lose some of the extras you get with 3 and im not sure about the mms settings etc but should be info about on the net

I have been through this whole threat on the prayer of finding an answer!!! I have a Sony Ericsson T610 that I am trying to unlock. I got the T28 cable to unlock it and bought a credit to use and downloaded the software. At first it appeared that the cable was faulty as my pc and phone weren't connecting so I sent the cable back. Just got the new cable yesterday and they are still not registering. Does anybody know what the problem could be?, have already forked out money for the cable and credit and don't want to have to pay more to take it to a shop to unlock it!

Any help would be greately appreciated, am on the verge of tears!!!!

is it def a t28 cable?
what server are you using, who was your credit supplier?
is your computor firewall stopping it?

Yep I'm being stupid but i got a data cable with my lg8120 is this sufficient for unlocking it? provided i get a code and flash an older version of the software because ive got s/w U8120_ v104

any help would be greatly appreciated.

not sure as i use unlocking clip for these but i think you need a powered serial cable
i would have thought you could unlock if you downgrade (if you can find the correct flash files) but it would be a lot less hassle to get someone to unlock with the correct clip (mine wont do v104) as its easy to go wrong and phone wont turn on again
