I had my phone unlocked by Vodafone for 25p, the cost of an assisted call to 191. I wanted to change my phone over to Orange PAYG but when I tried an Orange simm in my Motorola V70 it asked for an eight digit unlock code. I had surfed many ‘un-lock websites’. The Motorolas seem more difficult than other phones and I had more or less resigned myself to paying £15 and posting it off to an unlocking company. Then I thought to myself, this phone has only ever been with Vodafone, the first 12 months on contract, and the last 12 months on PAYG. I thought I had nothing to lose by ringing Vodafone and asking for the unlock code! I first made a note of my 15 digit IMEI number as they would probably need it. When I rang I was asked for my IMIE number and my email address and told that the number would be passed their NUC Resolutions department, and then would email me about 5 days later with the unlock code. I confirmed there would be no charge for this service. I received the email as promised, the code worked first time, and I am now on Orange PAYG.

Hi, have checked the websites listed for unlocking phones but cannot see Nokia 5210 listed. Does anyone know how to unlock this one please?

This applies to the previous 3 postings. First of all, as mentioned on other postings, try another network sim in your phone to check it is definitely locked. If that doesn’t work try contacting your old network supplier helpline to see if they will freely give you the unlock code or unlock information. (see my post 282 re Vodafone help). Failing that, this Sheffield company has had good write-ups on many mobile forum websites, https://www.foneunlock.co.uk and although none of the 3 models mentioned in previous postings are listed it’s worth giving them a ring on 01142 398088 to see if they can help you. Best of luck.

  • Hello all,

Just joined up after reading through the postings.
I notice no one has answered any postings on sendo phones.
Is this because they cant be unlocked for free?
The reason I ask is because I bought a data cable for my sendo m550 from 'Activemobiles.com' but dont seem to be able to find any unlocking software for it.
I have completely run out of options to try now, so if there are any experts out there who could help please would you reply or get in touch :(

    Many thanks

  • Anyone know how I could unlock my k700i? I can't find any posts that explain how. Do I need data cables and stuff or is it just a case of entering a code. Any help would be great.

    Cheers
