Hope you'll forgive this completely frivolous post, but my post count is 550 at the moment and I believe I only need to post one more to get upgraded to an Ever So Regular Money Saver. I'm sure 550's the threshold.

  • Hi

Back and had a good day, completely knackered though! Took over an hr to get there and the same back  traffic was really bad around Thurrock. Zoo was quite busy too and freezing, so only stayed about 3hrs. DD enjoyed it though.

Hope evryones ok. Will pop back on later, need a bath to warm me through.

I live in Thurrock and its awlays mental, I assume you mean near the Lakeside entry/exit of M25??? Its all those poor unfortunate sods (DHincluded) who leave their xmas shopping till the last few days. Mine is all wrapped and hidden away :p

DD2 (1) is in bed now and Iam feeding the other 2 up on sugar filled sweets, terrible I know but they are both tired and if I let them sleep now it wont be this side of midnight when I eventually get to bed as they'll be up all night. I'll be back here cursing myself for putting them on this sugar high in about an hour  Oh well, I've got that lovely wine that DH was given yesterday to console me.

Hi folks, late posting been busy, we were out before 9.30 this morning to get the veg from the market all the veg we need along with a dozen eggs for £7.50.....great, also managed to put £13 diesel in the car from the cash I had left in my purse.

This afternoon have cooked my bacon joint and also 2 dozen mince pies.......I had intended to do the pies on Friday so now I have a day spare for myself!!!! Did the bacon in the slow cooker for 4 1/2 hours, it is just coolling a little in the liquor.......

Still getting tired, but feel a little better each day.......

Afternoon all.... A manic one in house of Pooky!

Had my christmas party today - all the kids were great, we made hats, we ate food we danced outselves silly......they've all gone home happy and clutching their pressies and party hats :rudolf:

I'm now not working until Wednesday 11th Jan!!!! :j :j :j Not that I'm excited you understand.

Going to use the time wisely, got lots to sort out for ebay after xmas (all collectable stuff that will sell any time of the year) and want to sort out a budget for next year. This year our annual income has risen by nearly £9k and we should really see the benifit of it next year, I want to pay a huge chunk of debt off and get some savings together for a deposit on a new house. All our debt is on 0% cards at the moment so I don't mind bunging some into savings as it's not costing me extra. We're also going to need a new car next year (well - new to us) and I want that to be paid for from savings rather than a loan.

Tonights tea will be party leftovers and chips, followed by a huge box of luxury choccy biscuits one of my family's have just given us. We're all going to snuggle down on the sofa tonight to watch a christmas film and generally enjoy each others company (yeah right - it might last for 10 mins before DD's fall out)

Anyway - hope you've all had a great day. :xmassign:
