    Hey Kiwichick

I'm taking my 3yo to Santaland tomorrow. Is it really that bad? Was sooo looking forward to it.

    Hi Petal,

I took my DD (3) with a bunch of other mums and their 3yo. The kids did love the event. The weekend we went was the only the 2nd day and they have admitted to having majoy teething problems which are now resolved. They only had 6 FC's when we went which meant the queue to see him was 2.5 hours long! They now have 12 so should be shorter. Also, we went on thesunday and it was HEAVING with people, I would think a weekday, even in hoilidays, would be much more streamlined.

I would say though, to pack your own lunch or at least some some snacks as the food stalls have little to offer and are HUGELY overpriced.eg.85p for a bag of crisps!

Dont buy the programme on offer for £5 as when you enter the grotto you are given one free and it is mainly advertising in any case. They will tell you you cant take photos when seeing santa and then charge you £5 to buy their one. If you have a word with the elf/santas little helper, they will let you take a crafty pic ;)

On the whole it was a nice enough event but badly organised and overpriced. Having been told that the teething problames are sorted and speaking to local people who have gone on dates after me and found it very enjoyable I would go back next year- If the tickets prices reflected the quality of the event.

You will have a nice day and your 3yo will LOVE it, to them it seems huge andmagical, I think its more the adults who are dissillusioned.

    HTH,
    Al.

Could also be they're scared away - the repaired heating is noisier than i remember it & i cleared up all the droppings. I say "or something" since if it is mice they're very fat - it's not a scuttling that can be heard from the attic it's a thumping.

If we were in NZ I would say you had a possum problem, now they are nasty beggers, give me rats anyday.

Today my boyfriend and his daughter should be arriving in Lowestoft at about 2.30pm. They are staying here for Christmas. So I've spend all morning cleaning and putting fresh bedclothes on.

I'm cooking a sausage casserole for tea with pasta.

just when i thought i was gonna have a good day:

    - i get post from my landlord demanding £850 in delayed payments for last 2 months which is rubbish cos they have both come out on standing order as far as my online banking showed.

    - i miss the postie (i was in just my knickers!) knocking so he puts through a card to say there is a "needs signing for" letter i need to pick up at the earliest tomorrow.. now can only be one thing - a letter from work confirming that im fired.

    - While trying to log in to my online banking to confirm my rent had definetly come out i managed to somehow lock myself out. Locking all my "spare" money (i.e. not earmarked for bills coming out in next few days) in my e-savings account. Meaning i now have to wait for an activation code to come through the post for me to be able to get back in or be able to withdraw ANY money from my bank account with going into my overdraft.

    - i have now MISSED the special delivery deadline for getting my job application form back to the inland revenue before the cut off date of tomorrow morning. So theres another job i can kiss goodbye to any chance of getting...

    - i have just got my phone bill for this month £48.52!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! £29.50 of that is line rental etc BUT £19.02 on calls.

    - I have only realised today i'll be getting £68-136 in my next paycheck this month due to my sicknotes running out and days changing add that to my £300 in savings and it means i cant pay my rent thats it.

    - i have £10 to my name.. and if i dont wanna go into my overdraft i have to find a way to make it last and cover 10 gas to get me over new year and xmas, stamps to send off some important letters i have including job applications i need to send special delivery cos again i got the forms too late to get back in normal 1st class, i need to buy milk and a few other bits too including toilet paper and bleach. I havent bought my mum a christmas card off me or my bro or the other half of my uncles pressie i wanted to get him cos what i have got him is pathetic and i know he spends alot on me every year.

I just suddenly feel really really poop. Sorry i just really needed to get it out.. think i might go stand in the yard and scream and kick stuff! :(

the snow run is awesome, the queue moves smoothly for that one as people are down so fast. If you have time, do try and geton the big carosel for more than one rise, its a great ride that lasts quite a while.
