Morning.. had an hours sleep.. went to work for 6:55am to catch my manager at the end of the shiftb (was meant to be back working but sooo wasnt up to it after having a panic attack yday at the thought of it) sat waiting till 7:40am for him! "oh i cant help you" so he sent me to the personnel manager who was really really horrible to me and told me to come back later
This is after 75% of my collegues had ignored me!!
So feeling pretty poohy!
Long story on hows and whys.. but just got my mobile phone back ex-OH has had for months "getting it fixed".. still not fixed and i paid £200 for it in march (pre-mse!) and its the first time ive ever treated myself to a new phone always had 2nd hand or hand me downs and got ridiculed for it.... so i really want it as its perfect and really practical.....but lookin on the CPW websites its likely to cost £30+ to fix .. and they are going 2nd hand on ebay for £75 now!Silly isnt it?!
Gotta run the post office in a min after brekky.. need to get gas! in 15 days ive used £20 gas!!! Thats just for my heating and hot water!
Need to go into town to buy a friends xmas pressie too.. they showed me it yday in a the music zone shop for £6.49... thought i might be able to get it cheaper online (and didnt wanna wait in the queue) but nope £2-3 more expensive online! So as i want a few bits from town anyway i can justify the bus fare spend £2.60!
Then i'll be home to clean up! One person.. but sooooo much mess! Just havent felt like doing any cleaning this week at all. So the place is a tip and the dishes in the bowl are growing mould! :rotfl:
Sausage buttie for brekky.. god knows what for dinner.. and might make homemade pizza tonight for tea!
(thats if im in any fit state cos work have really upset me and i dont wanna face them! but gotta go back to take my sick note in.)0 -

 just wrote a blinking post and lost it. so will start again.
big hugs to pp and kiwi hope you have better days today and anyone else that needs them.
Have had a busy week thankfully, so am once again in control of the dreaded depression, with the help of a bach remedy, bought with pigsback vouchers.
Went to an xmas drinks and nibbles doo last night at castle coombe race track , where I got veryand had a jolly good time, luckily no hangover for me :j Met the owner of it all who is lovely and loaded, although looked like one of my friends too much so in fact, quite scary how simular they are, just hope I haven't uncovered some dyer family secret :rotfl:
thought I had finished all the xmas shopping when my friend turned up yesterday with pressies for the kids, so now have to treck over the mountains and through the dreaded xmas shoppers to get her tots some pressies in return.
All my poor little kiddie wnks are full of coughs and colds feel so sorry for baby as There is nothing I can give to help, while his bigs sisters are drinking pints of lemon and honey tea to keep the coughs at bay. Just hope I dont get ir before xmas.
My brother has decided he is going to join us for xmas dinner :j don't get to see the little monkey(ha hes 6ft 2) very often as he's always out with his mates. dont you just hate it when you get the only bad genes in the family, all my brothers and sisters (6 in total) all got the tall and skinny gene and I got the plump gene so not fair.
any way going to give my baby a big hug as he's started snuffling again.
hugs to all

WM is loaded to go on, hopefully it will stay windy and not rain, than I can get washing on line to dry instead of the TD. ..
Do you not have a clothes horse you could use?
Since I renewed mine a few weeks ago, I haven't needed to resort to the TD *at all* :j :j In fact, by clearing out the airing cupboard, putting a rail up and utilising the shower rail in the bathroom + clothes horse ... I've barely needed to brave the washing line ... besides, as my garden is North facing, at this time of year there is little sun so finding an "indoor" solution which doesn't involve the TD is a necessity for us
I know there are 3 of you in your household and the amount of washing that generates, but, seriously, as you do a wash load daily, you could easily utilise other means instead of a TD or relying solely on a windy but dry day.
The other issue being - at the times of morning you are up and doing the washing ... it's a juggle to see/know quite what the weather will be doing! (I speak from experience as a fellow early riser, as you know)

Can you tell I wasnt working this morning!!
Anyway, still woke up at 7.40am and have so far been to the Post office, and paid out so much money its not even funny. Ive insured the car, got the clamp taken off (it was off the road on private land until thursday - the car park is being done up so I parked it on the road and Friday I got clamped for no tax) and have to get an MOT. I was keeping the car off the road until the end of January to see if we could manage without it and if so, sell it, but now, to get 120quid refund from thieving DVLA i have to put it back on the road, as I need a tax disc, and therefore an MOT and Insurance. 1 day parked on a road when I have kept it off for two months and now im forking out well over £200. most expensive parking ever (and before anyone tells me off, yes, I know it is my own fault although I think it is highly distasteful and unfair in this circumstance). Xmas is officially cancelled in the JW household, as I can no longer afford presents etc and im mighty depressed.
Anyway. At least I am insured on the boyfs car too so at least I can go spend my vouchers today as he is asleep and wont be awake for hours. I think I might just go out and try and cheer myself up. Xmas do at work tonight too which I am not looking forward to anymore.
The cat seems happy anyway. Right, shower, then out. See you all later.

Hi all
Just finished making breakfast for me and DH. DS and DD out sleeping at friends (sort of nice to have the house back to myself now that they are teenagers and I don't see a lot of them, but I miss them too!).
Breakfast: eggy bread
Not sure what for lunch or dinner but I have loads of delivered organic veg because in the last week I had so many 'social' engagements that I haven't been eating in the house hardly at all - and as a consequence the rest of my family lived on cheap frozen pizzas or pasta & tomato sauce - no chance that they should be found cooking any vegetables!
Dinner will be something grain (millet, couscous, rice, barley?) and some veg stirfry with tofu that needs using up.
1 wash is already in the machine and I am about to put the dishwasher on too - I have tons of laundry to go through but because I have disconnected the tumble-drier (in MSE OS style) I need to wait to have enough space to dry the first batch before I put the second one in. DH wears one shirt a day and the kids chuck towels on the floor after every shower or bath (and if I have to fight them one more time I shall lose the will to live, so I let them do it to avoid any more aggro....)
Lots of Xmas things to do, tree to put up, cards to write etc....
I have started something really bad for me, I am afraid, in this time of extreme stress and confusion (long story): I have started smoking againI know it is horrible and unhealthy and so NOT MSE/OS!!!!! I hope to be able to give it up in a little while - for now I am accepting that I need a bit of a crutch and also need to acknowledge myself as a smoker before putting all my energies in becoming a NON-smoker (if it makes any sense).
One of the stressful things in my life is that I have invited my mum to stay over for Christmas (from 20/12 to 11/1/06) because my dad died recently (in October) and I wanted to give her some love and comfort as she is grieving so much.
She has accepted the invite with enthusiasm and for a while I have really been looking forward to seeing her - but recently she has already started criticising me and my ways on the phone and I am now terrified that she is going to make my life a misery. Of course because she is grieving I won't be able to tell her to get lost, so I feel sort of stuck.
Well, que sera sera....Wish me luck
Love to all

Could you try to build in "buffers" betweeen you and your Mum? Go for a brisk walk if you are about to snap?
Get kids to talk to her while you do something she might criticise.
Prepare as much as you can in advance so that you do not feel frazzled etc.
Next time she criticises say something like "Well we are all diferent aren't we?"
Good luck with Christmas"This site is addictive!"

I got a letter from my bank today telling me I can have a debit card at last. I'm 35 and have had an account at that branch since I was 3, never been overdrawn, never had a cheque bounce, paid all the bills on time and had regular income going in and only now have they been able to trust me enough to have a debit card. So it should be arriving in 7 - 10 days.
It's snowing here in Lowestoft this morning. Theres thick snow on the ground and the roofs and more snow is falling. I dont know whether to go out in it or stay in in the warm all day. It is helping me to get into the Christmas spirit though at least (and I need help).
Tonight I am cooking a roast chicken and will save some for a curry tomorrow.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040
