Morning PP and everyone of course,
Went to bed early last night as shattered only to be up before the mikman this morning, can't win. Everyone else still in the land of nod.
Oh PP you are so organized in a morning, I need at least 2 cuppas before facing anything.
Have some friends visiting from down south tomorrow so house needs to be cleaned top and bottom. Haven't even looked out of the curtains to see what the weather is like with regards to hanging washing out but it does feel cold and ironing needs to be done.
Anyway another brew is in order have a nice day all,
Catch you later

anyway...anything remotely energetic will be postponed until tomorrow, will just do the have to's today.

A bit miffed. I was up late last night do some more of this transcription stuff. I have to go to work this morning so I told OH I expected him to get up with the kids this morning. I had worked out I could stay in bed until 8.
Huh. And the kids got up early.
But I have been making as much noise as possible!
But there is PP with 3 hrs sleep (at least I got more than that) and Kiwi (read yesterdays posts) - which all put my moanings into perspective.
So. Work this morning, should be home about noonish.
Sorting out the toys and clothes today. Broken toys to the bin, better ones to the charity shop and the clothes the same way. The good ones have already been ebayed!
Will be freezing my vegetables this afternoon, make some cakes or sweets with the girls and an easy Spag Bol for dinner in the SC.
Since everyone else is being lazy, I am giving OH the hoovering/dusting, DD1 (14yo) the bathroom cleaning and DD2 (11yo) 2 more washing loads. And I expect it to be done before I return from work at lunch - or they starve until then!
Off to do breakie now. I am so into Eggs at the moment. And as I am already overweight, I think I need to cut down on them - Cholestoral and all that.
Have a nice day everyone!0 -
Morning you lot :j
DS's are already fighting downstairs - all I can hear is "mine, mine" from each in turn. Let them get on with it - they'll sort themselves out (see, already it's gone quiet)
Anyway, today is tree trimming day. We have 2 artificial ones, which I was working out are well over 10 years old. We each 'brought one with us' and we've been together 10 years. I may replace them soon, but not this side of Xmas.
I may also do a marathon baking session because DS1 wants to bake and I can freeze lots of it. I have lots of eggs and butter so hey-ho, that's what I shall be doing this afternoon. A CQ curry for tea I think, too.
I have lots of ironing to do, but that can wait. I'm out babysitting for next door tonight so that's a good excuse to watch tv, read Martin's new book and generally veg, after the boys go to bed (9pm, they aren't that young)
Ok, off to save the world with DS2 now :snow_laug There appears to be a monster on the beanbag - oh, I'm told it has an Xmas tree too:snow-grin
Hugs to PP and kiwi and all others in need.

Morning All,
Thanks for your support guys, it has made me feel much more positive about things. So many of us are going through a similar time and can all be here for one another on our bad days. I feel so overwhelmed that strangers could be so kind and supportive to me. More so than my friends and family. Big hugs to each and every one of you.
Today I have a driving lesson at 9.20 which yesterday I was going to cancel. However, I have told myself to get on with it because once that test is passed its another step towards being more independant.
After that its on to LIDL, very excited as its my first time. Oh, that makes me a LIDL virgin
Then I'm going round to a friends place to help her arrange a monthly budget. Its a good feeling knowing I will be able to help her to make better use of her money.
Afternoon will be for spending time with my kids, maybe going to the library or the park.
Off to browse now, thanks again everyone,

Morning Everyone:wave: ,
I'm enjoying a few moments of peace before my son wakes up. I've got to catch up with about 6 loads of washing and drying and intent on doing a general cleanup around the house. Also off into town for a brief visit, to do a spot of shopping for milk, bread etc. (town is only 10 minutes away from my house).
Will have to get the cemeny mixer going this afternoon:D for my makeup, as I'm going out to our works do this evening, which in true OS fashion, is free.
Hope you all have a good start to the weekend.

Hello Everyone,
Sorry to hear KC & PP had a bad day yesterday. Don't forget Kiwi to take that dressing gown off befoe the driving lesson.:D Or at least put something underneath it.
It's awful hot here, I did quite a bit of cooking today. I made Mado's fudge again. Another dud. Boo Hoo & I also made CQ's Bailey's yule Balls which are chilling in the fridge o'nite. I am a bit dubious about them too. I wonder if it's the heat. Can't be MY cooking. Ha Ha.
I went to Aldi for the first time yesterday. Grabbed a few bargains. We don't have one in our town. I"m going to put up the xmas tree tonight & I was going to make some little boxes out of cards for my fudge. Hope you all have a nice weekend.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Good morning everyone!
Kiwichick, I am so glad to hear you're feeling good today, hope your driving lesson goes well, have a lovely time the rest of the day.
I had a patchy sleep last night, keep waking up, however I actually feel refreshed. Is this because it's Saturday and therefore don't have to go to work I wonder. My boss was nice to me yesterday - she's OK really, but sometimes when she has something to say she spits it out and doesn't listen to a word you've got to say in reply. The other troublesome colleague we have who has been huffing since May seems to be adding to her list of people she doesn't like. She's adept at holding a grudge over something v.v.petty - this time someone tried to print something as the same time as her and there was a mix up over paper or something. Anyway, this girl is now huffing even more. Yesterday our boss bought us a big tin of chocolates, the huffy mare said she didn't like sweet stuff, but she said it so flatly and with great irritation in her voice without looking up from her screen or stopping typing that her decision not to take a chocolate was obviously a snub to our boss and to everyone else who was ooing and ahing over the tin. Silly cow.
JW you asked about introducing a new kitty to a one cat household. Hmm, I don't have any educated advice to give you. From experience kitties will decide for themselves if they like a new kitty or not. Perhaps it may be easier to get a younger cat, so that your current cat is the natural boss. I used to have two boys and a girl - one boy, Henry, was intimidated by the other, but when the other one passed away Henry blossomed into the most funny, clever and strong character I've ever encountered in a cat. He also developed an amazing bond with the girl, Tabitha who passed away this week (from broken heart I think as Henry died unexpectedly in Sept).
As for old style today....ummm might push the vacuum cleaner round the sofa later on, will empty the DW and WM in a moment, then will have to get on with another essay for college. At some point I'll go for a nice long walk if it's not too wet and miserable.
Bye everyone.
