Am I able to get the mock Baileys at LIDL???? Am planning my first trip there tomorrow after my driving lesson and need to do a list.

Try baileys u like in coffee, it's great. Make your coffee as normal but replace the milk with faux baileys, yum! Much better than on ice imo for cheapo brands.

Got drenched on the way up to the school this morning. Went to Iceland and bought the shopping for the next month. In there they have faux Southern Comfort, faux Tia Maria, faux Ginger Wine and faux Baileys and you can buy 3 bottles for £10. So thats what I did. It is all being delivered at 4 - 6 tonight. Then I walked up to the photo studio where I had my picture taken on tuesday to pick what ones I wanted in my pack. I won it in a competition in my local paper.

Today I have also booked a weekend away to German Rhineland in March with Travelscope for £70 for 3 nights, what a bargain. :j

  • Afternoon all, :xmastree:

Well both the kids have finished school at lunchtime( go back 3rd jan) so their really excited and currently making loads of noise upstairs. Sat on santas knee at pre-school as DD wasn't too keen and was told I would get an extra special present this year !! :snow_laug ;)

Didn't go to bed till 3 this morning as decided to go late night shopping and then wrap the pressies when I got home so feeling pretty groggy so early night for me I think.

Nice and windy so washing on line, don't know for how long as the temperature has started to drop quite quickly.
Dinner tonight is braised steak & onions with veg and I fancy a pudding but haven't decided what.

Hope everyone has a lovely evening,
    Ice.

Well Im feeling a little more positive and thanks so much for all the lovely comments :p I'll be OK, just feel so frustrated. Im a nice and caring person (i think..lol) just seems a little unfair, but hey thats life!! I still have my goals and dreams and will achieve them...one way or another.

Anyways, OH has taken DD into town to take back/exchange some jumpers we got from QS last week-there too small. They all had 20% off and were Naf Naf-havent been in a QS for years and was quite surprised with some of the quality and prices. Bought 4 thick Naf Naf jumpers for DD, bought myself a nice thick jumper and a pair of thick socks for me and came to £39-thought this was very good and the quality superb. 12 months ago, I wouldnt have been seen dead in QS. Would have been M&S, Harvey Nicks etc. After loosing so much weight Im having problems finding clothes to fit me but have picked up a few bargains from ebay.

Cleaner been and house all sparkly :p 3 washloads done today including all dirty bedding and have been dried in TD as wet here ATM. OH has painted his office and looks good, so hopefully it will be sorted this weekend so all his rubbish will be gone from my bedroom :j :j :j

    Thanks for cheering me up.

Right, thats it. I've decided my depression is no longerpost natal, baby is 15 months now anyway. Its gotta be full blown crapping depression cause I just feel so AWFUL. I'm genuinally scared I'm gonna have a breakdown if I keep feeling like this. I'vespent the entire day in mydressing gown. The kids didnt get breakfast and got chips for lunch. I've not cleaned, I've been crying over nothing. I smacked my DS whos only 2 cause he didnt want the paper I had given him. I'm a bad parent and I dont know what to do. I cant get into my GP till tuesday morning and I keep telling myself I need to behonest with her but know I'll probably cover it up again. I'm supposed to be coming off my meds in Feb and at this rate they'll be increased instead. I'm just so sick of feeling this way.

I know the holidays are always different in England and Scotland but I have to ask when do the kids go back to school in England if they have already started the school holidays from Wednesday and some today?

We don't start until 22 December until 9 January which is great as it still gives me three and a half days with some time to myself, plus today of course icon12.gif

I too am in Scotland and the kids here don't finish until Friday the 23rd (back on the 9th Jan). Threw a spanner in the works as we had booked a holiday cottage starting from Thursday before the holidays were announced from school!!

Firstly hun your not a bad parent!!

Try and relax and breathe. Can you push an earlier appointment and explain how rough your feeling, failing this, you could contact your local mental health centre and talk to someone. I find this helps on my bad days. Please dont fret about your day-its not that bad! Do you have anyone who could have the kids and give you a little time to chill out and have a soak in bath etc:confused:

Im going to PM you hun. Try and talk about how your feeling and get it all out.

I've been through this too (though not post-natal) and can see it from the other side. Please don't be hard on yourself you do not need to criticise yourself. If your doc can't see you earlier then maybe you could phone up and tell the receptionist you feel dreadful and want to speak to your doctor today, even if only for five minutes. If you need to cry, then cry as much as you need to.

KIWI - STEP AWAY FROM THE KNIFE DRAWER, YOU ARE NOT A BAD PARENT

Seriously, I bet you feel like a bag of dohdah after smacking DS but there are not many parents who havn't lost control in times of stress. Given everything that has been going on with you and the run up to Chrimbo who wouldn't be showing a few cracks.
The main thing is you realise there is a problem and you need help.

Is Mr KIWI supportive? Could he go with you to the Dr's for moral support or is there someone else who you are close to who could go with you to help explain what's going on. It may be easier to have someone tell him/her how you are that you do it yourself.

The timeframe for coming off your meds. Is it set in stone? Could it be that you are worrying about comming off the meds? Maybe this is something that needs to be discussed with your Dr. IME It is far better to function on meds that go barmy by coming off them too early just to say you have come off them.

There may be other options your Dr could explore with you that doesn't always mean heavy medication. A support group, relaxation classes/ alternative therapy. Am mentor to jiggy you along and listen to you. He/she may be able to point you in the direction of other local groups that would be able to help. Local churches for example offer all kinds of help, support and the potential of making new friends!

I know others have already offered butfeel free to PM if you want to chat further - Hugs MATH
