Morning everyone :santa2:
It's my last day at work today - yipee!! And I'm finishing early as DD (7) breaks up at 2.00pm!!
I have got so much to do it is untrue. We're flying off to the Dom Rep early Monday morning and I've only managed to pack DD's case!
I've come up with an ingenious plan though - tonight I'm going to iron everything and pass it to DH who is going to fold it and put it in the case :snow_laug
Today I've got to change my money into dollars, and buy batteries and finish everything at work.
Breakfast: Cornflakes
Lunch: Ham Sandwich
Dinner: Spag Bol
Anyway must dash - I might drop in later :santa2:Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning all
PP Sorry to hear about your rotten night & also the hospital visit yesterday
Out all day today at home educators' group - it's their Christmas party & so there will be food, games, a magician is coming & also they are bringing their own magic tricks to do as well. DS has been practicing card tricks & other magic tricks, with me as the "willing volunteer"
Dinner will be corned beef & mashed potato pie (I am making it this morning so as to avoid the rush between getting home from Suffolk, where the group meets, and DS going to Boys Brigade this evening.)
We were out for Christmas dinner last night, at a carvery. Lovely! But we all ate far too much!!! I am going to start at a keep fit group in the new year - will have to look for a tracksuit big enough to wear for that!0 -
Morning all
PP - so sorry to hear about your health problems, but I am sending positive vibes and (((hugs)))
This morning I've already made loads of ham sarnies as DS2 has a pre-school Xmas party this morning. I'm also taking in fairy cakes. Have just got to get him dressed now, but he is more interested in his train set :snow_laug
So, this will be my last morning with a couple of hours to myself. I can either a) vax the landing carpet or b) have a leisurely bath and veg out. The latter sounds more like it, may even phone my friend for one of our marathon chats (on 18866)
B - Toast
D - soup
T - beef casserole in SC
So, must also put on WM, TD, BM and DW today and will have a vac round upstairs (didn't manage it yesterday)
OK, must dash, gotta get dressed and take DS2 out in the next 4 mins

Morning All,
BIG HUGS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY PPIt must be hard to hear news like that, try not to think about it (i know its MUCH easier said than done) and enjoy christmas with your family. If ever you need to have a moan/whinge/cry etc please feel free to PM me.
Its a lovely windy day here and looks clear enough for the moment so the WM is on with all the big bits in and HOPEFULLY I will be able to dry them on the line.
House needs dusting as its the one job I never do, and I really do mean never! So I am going to get off my lardy butt today and do it.
Also need to thank my DH as he has been doing much more around the house the normal of late. I just cant seem to find any enthusiasm for anything at the moment. I feel as if my depression just isnt lifting which is depresssing me even more as I dont know why I should feel this way :wall: Its b****y frustrating and I know I must be a nightmare to live with. DH hasnt said much to complain about the constant state of disaary though, a few comments and then he gets on and tidies for me. I will go back to the GP next week and have an early meds review I think, its not due till Feb but things arent going they way they should.
Going to LIDL for the first time tomorrow and am understandably excited, its right next to tesco so will be able to do a very good comparison (we all know who's going to win dont we)
Off to drink my :coffee: and browse, have a good day all,

I know the holidays are always different in England and Scotland but I have to ask when do the kids go back to school in England if they have already started the school holidays from Wednesday and some today?
We don't start until 22 December until 9 January which is great as it still gives me three and a half days with some time to myself, plus today of course0 -

My daughter wants to go to school in England :snow_laug
Thanks, by pre-school I take it you mean the little ones, I think our littlies are still at school until Wed/Thursday too. I quite like it if they are at school till quite near Christmas as it makes the wait until the actual day seem less.0 -

Mine are the other way around. DS2 who goes to 2 pre-schools, finishes his last one today. DS1 who is in year 2, finishes on 22/12 and doesn't go back until 9/1. However, whilst the catholic school usually finish later
than the others, Mr TM who teaches at a catholic school, finishes today.
Talking of Mr TM - another example of his 'non MSE'ing' today. He's just rushed home during a free period, because some of his colleagues have given him pressies, incl a bottle of beer and a box of After Eights. So, he's given them something. Instead of ringing me and asking if I had anything in, he's been out and bought 4 bottles of wine and a large tin of Roses  Then he drove home so I could wrap them. In my 'spare' cupboard I have 5 boxes of chocs, for such 'emergencies' and the bar is well stocked with wine we brought back from France. Obviously we have money to burn
Anyway, WM on, DW on, SC going on soon and I have tidied downstairs, vac'd up as far as the landing. Will do my bedroom and then go for a bath and a hair wash before returning to pre-school to watch Santa make another appearance. Must go and take the rubbish and recyclables to the tip as I won't be driving past it again until New Year.0
