Hiya friends :snow_grin
DS1 has gone to school, all excited because it's own clothes day and school Xmas dinner - they get quite a decent meal for £1.60 so I don't mind that. Also, the Christmas fairies came down the chimney and collected the letter for FC - see, I've always been a MSE. Saves on a stamp :snow_laug
Off to mum's today, for a big pre-Xmas clean and to show DS2 all Grandma's lights and decorations. Need to pop into Tesco's for those Xmas essentials - nutmeg, washing up liquid and bleach (I make a tremendous starter with 'em)
Will put WM and SC on before I go - bol sauce in SC I think and may even do some garlic bread today too. If I get home before the afternoon school run I want to run the vac round upstairs and change DS2's bed - edit, I'll change the bed now.
Ok - off to strip beds, shower and go out. Have a good day everyone and hope all goes well at hospital PP (ps the pizzas were a success, cheers PP)

Morning all. I hope everthing is ok for all today.
Today's the day I do the budget for 2006.
My main aims are to reduce the food bill again by cooking more from scratch,(with help from this site :snow_grin ) and to ensure that the cc's are cleared before November.

Morning all - I'm watching 2 men on next doors flat roof...I think they're supposed to be replacing it but all they've done so far is sit on their backsides drinking coffee and reading the papers!!!
Got all the xmas pressies out the loft and will start the mind numbingly boring job of wrapping them all in a bit....got to make them into even piles first...
DD1 came home from her jaunt to London last night - spoilt rotton and got awarded an Ipod Nano for her contribution....one very happy little girl.
Brekkie was toast and lidl cherry jam all round, lunch is some sort of sarnie (or I might just get tempted by the bag of minstrels sitting in the fridge), dinner tonight will be something with mince, probably a pasta bake.
Doing a Xmas party for all my little charges next week, got another childminder coming too....had to buy in all prepacked food for them as it's all they all seem to eat but my DD's have requested HM rolls and HM sausage rolls and HM quiches and HM pizza...I'm guessing they do like my cooking then!
Right - the wrapping paper and a good film are calling me - may even be decadant and light a fire to get me in the mood.

Morning all :santa2:
First post on the the OS board, (but I do read it everyday to find out what you're all up to) so hope you don't mind me joining in.
Just wanted to tell PP that I got a flask a couple of weeks ago from Wilkos for £1.99. It takes a can of soup quite easily if that's any help, but I took the label off that tells you the volume so I can't be more specific than that.
Enjoy your picnic :rudolf:0 -

Nothing very much planned have to go to the PO later and post a couple of letters, its just round the corner so will walk.......OH itching to go up to the allotment to see his shed, he is collecting bits and pieces ready. I have to go up into the lft for the box for the sewing machine, will get a few of the christmas deccies out whilst I am up there, nothing mad, don't feel like it, this is the day we should have been sailing away to France, instead we are sitting at home feeling sorry for ourselves!!!!!

Hi Yall, First time I've been on the puter todya to post cos I've been too busy erm....cleaning:rolleyes: Time for a rest now some I'm hutched over the pc with a mug of mushroom soup and some HM bread. A bit of surfing followed by an hour or so paid2click and then I shall cast my mind toward dinner. Have a good one!Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0

Washing is on the line and dishes done - chicken is defrosting ready for me to make chicken tortillas with sweetcorn, peppers , mushrooms and garlic.
Wrapped most of the presents and DD (11) keeps dropping not too subtle hints - but she is not getting everything she asks for - and to be fair I do not think that she really expects this.
She has a birthday in January and she might get the digital camera that she has been hinting for then if I can get a special deal.
Just realised that I have run out of vinegar!!!!!!!
Hugs to all those feeling poorly.
Love some of the ideas for stocking fillers.:xmassign:"This site is addictive!"
