Morning all. Back from Lille - great time - But my thoughts are with you two, Snowy Owl and Ancasta
Lille was great. Glad it was a short trip with my mother - there is no way I could last longer on holiday with her!
Christmas Markets are great. Bargains are not really to be found, but I did buy a few small bits for each of the kids.
Got back to find out from OH, that someone drove into the Galaxy over the weekend and sped off. Great. No details (very possibly CCTV from local pub we are friends with) so under the current circumstances, I lose out on my £350 excess. Even madder that this extra work I have taken on to cover spending money in Disneyland, is now used up because of a coward.
On a lighter note, the car was parked and at least no-one was in it.
So. Back to the cleaning! Whilst away, my brood managed one whole washing load. The whole one. And they were able to dry it too!
Anyhow - breakie soon will be a fried egg sanrie I think. I really really fancy one!
Dinner is HM Burgers that I made for them last week and weren't eaten over the weekend.
I have to do a tesco run after school today. But I do have £10 vouchers from Valued Opinions and some extra money offs - so will be a cheap run!

See you all later.0 -
Morning everyone
Hugs all round today, I think
I've packed DS1 off to school and will shortly be taking DS2 to a pre-school Xmas party. This means I'll have 1 1/2 hrs to myself before I have to go back and see him receive his gift from FC. Should give me time to finish vaxing the hall, stairs and whatever I find needs doing upstairs. Then it's home for soup for lunch.
Need to put WM and TD on today. There's been a load of washing done but still sat in WM for a dayIt's so cold in the garage that at least it won't have gone smelly though
I need to get my kitchen cleaned today too - the floor is horrible.
I spent time the other day going through the recipe threads and pasting the ones I fancied into word, so I'll finish those off soon, print them out and we can all have a baking day soon, although DS1 doesn't finish work until 22/12 so will have to be this w/e if he wants to join in.
Loads of other jobs to do today, but will just do them as I come to them. Have a good day everyone.

Finally finished Christmas shopping so just need to start wrapping. Didn't realise how quickly time's gone and I haven't even written the cards yet. Starting to feel a little jittery and unorganised now - wondering what to do with the blessed turkey for a start!
I'm on my own at work so I think I'll look through some recipes. Brought my cards to write and my sewing. Keep dreaming that I'll get an interview, but it's early days yet.....
Have a lovely, and hopefully better, day.New year, no debt! Debt free date - 02/01/07 :j :j :j0 -
Morning all, :snow_grin
Just got back from taking DD to pre-school put some toast in toaster and ....nothing!
Everything seems to be packing in lately, first the iron then me hairdryer now the toaster.
Can't really go anway this morning as I'm waiting for a delivery and don't know what time its supposed to arrive but O/H is only working 1/2 day today so maybe manage later. Must finish writing christmas cards for the neighbours as I've got all theirs and they will be thinking I'm been unsociable.
No rain here and the temperature not bad so will hang the washing out and see how it goes.
Lunch, sausage rolls & sarnies
Dinner, fish pie and 2 x veg
Have a good and take care, :santa2:

Everything is diddling along nicely here....nothing broken down yet (touch wood). Tesco order should be arriving later today when OH gets home. This will pack the freezer and will make us ready for when we have the girls later over the Xmas & New Year period. I like to get most things before they turn up....because if we go shopping with them we end up with a house full of rubbish most of which they don't eat.
Xmas shopping is 99% finished. Just have £4 left to spend on OH out of his Xmas present money (set budget of £25 on each other this year). Its been fun finding the great deals, vouchers etc.... Just can't wait to see his face. What to do with £4 though? Only wish I could ask you guys for help...but OH reads the forum. So any suggestions on a post card to my PM box please.
This weekend has been set aside for cleaning and tidying up, because we go down to my parents next Friday. Its so much nicer being organised around Xmas as you can then simply enjoy the festive spirit of the season.
Don't know what we're having for tea....as it depends what OH picks out of the Tesco shopping bags (if it arrives okay that is). Lunch for me is fruit, yoghurt and a sarnie.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Hello Everyone
At work, "busying" away:snow_grin Got the big boss man here today, but not to see me so that's ok.
Last day on here for a while, as I've got some time off work. Staff xmas party tomorrow night, have mixed feelings towards that
Hope everyone's ok, and hugs to all who need themComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Washing is on line and dishes are in washer - DD has gone to work and Dh also.
He went back on monday and came back at 2pm and yesterday before 3pm.- frightened the life out of me as I was not expecting him.
Got some paperwork tidied up and waiting for a delivery so popped on here.
Spent ages helping DD (11) wrap pressies for her friends last night - got 10 paperback books for about £15 and five pendants for about £5 in all - had I bought them elsewhere it would have been about £70!!!!
DDs still one present short so had to dash out and buy 2 boxes of celebrations or heroes ( got 2 for £5) when they should have been nearly £4 each so another bargain!
Wrapped up most of the pressies and trying to explain to DDs about Christmas post and that delivery of stuff could be late. They seem to think that I can go online and stuff will arrive the next day!
Big hug to snowy owl and ancasta

Afternoon All
I just wanted to share my joy (quite sad really LOL). We have finally got a plasterer in today to skim walls in the office and he's doing a grand job. It has cost us £200 including materials but will be done by the end of the day-then OH can move his poxy computer and cr*p out there :j I will get my bedroom back  Im so happy! Going to get him to give us a quote on lounge/kitchen and small bedroom as the walls are terrible, but will have to wait till we get some more dosh saved. Have a little to one side but will depend on quotes etc.
