xxx HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEENIE xxx
Morning All,
BIG day for me yesterday, took DD1 (3) to the Santaland exhibit at Earls Court. If anyof you are planning on going all I can say is wear sensible shoes and take a packed lunch. They wanted 85p for a pack of walkers- NOT LIKELY and we queued for 2.5 hours to see santa for 60 seconds. RUBBISH. I complained to Brian Leeker the guy in charge of the entire event and hes promised refunds to ALL who went yesterday as it was such a shambles. The best bit of the day was the bottle of toffee vodka I bought reduced at the end - YUM YUM YUM!!!
Today I have friends coming over at 9.30 so have been up preparing. WM done one and another one on the go, washing up done, carrot cake made and a pot of fudge on the go. PHEW!
The viewing on friday went well and the folks who came are speaking to their financial bloke this week to see if they can afford to put in an offer :T :j Keep your fingers crossed for us.
Right, off to stir the fudge,
Have a good day all,

Morning all.
Happy Birthday Queenie hun. :j
These bloody pills the doctor gave me speed up my metabolism but it only seems to take affect on a night time, i was up looking for a book and sorting out christmas decs yesterday night at like 4.30am, having not been to sleep. I finally got into bed at about 5.45 this morning, and got up at 6.30. meh. Im actually feeling fine. Had 2 pieces of brown toast at home so i could take my tablet but im likely to have some fruit later on from the canteen to stave off the hunger. Although these tablets are meant to surpress my appetite so we will have to see.
Didnt have time to make a pack up this morning but i brought a cuppa soup and i will get a huge salad bowl from work, they are only 80p, bargain i say for what you get.
Will put christmas tree up tonight. weeee.
Having beef with red wine sauce (bogof) chicken tonight sauce mix things so that should be yummy.
With all my late night energy i should put it to good use cooking and baking and things but i got really wrong off OH for waking him up lastnight, poor thing i feel absolutely dreadful for waking him up.
Will stick to quiet activities i think, like shopping for my wedding.....10months and 3 weeks away. w00
Will post back later.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEENIE!
Just trying to get myself going - I don't get up as early as most of you! I have done 1 or 2 jobs, but once I start reading OS it's hard to tear myself away! I'm going to write a list in a minute of all the things I need to get done today: that usually helps.
Anyway, DW is on, Amazon parcel ready to post, and I don't have too many household chores to do today, as hubby and I were busy doing loads yesterday. So I need to go for a long walk when it stops raining, tidy up, put clean washing away, etc, and write some more Christmas cards - I've never been so early with them before! I'm also going to try not to spend any money today; it's necessary after spending nearly £100 in Morrison's yesterday!
Have a good day everyone,

Morning all :wave:Happy Birthday QueenieWasn't going to come on here until I'd done loads of jobs, but that's an addiction for you
Anyway, DS's off to school, I'm going to mum's on Thursday so I can spend the whole day there - she wants her decs putting up and my back is too bad this morning to go clambering up a loft ladder.
Need to strip boys beds, put DW and WM on. Probably too damp for line drying so TD after that. Need to put BM on too. Will have a serious blitz at some cleaning while I'm on my own for a couple of hours.
Brekkie - HM toast and marmalade.
Dinner - HM minestrone
Tea - sausage casserole, mash and veg, micro sponge pud and custard.
I must get on, nay, I WILL get on and do my jobs.See ya later

HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEENIE!!!!!!
Good morning all
Kids are off to school, complete with clothes for dress rehearsal for their christmas play.....one's got to be dressed as a lord.....black trousers and a cloak - sorted.....the other as a swan all in white.....white long sleeved top, white socks....and oh hang on nothing to wear on the bottom, good job I've got a sewing machine, an old white sheet and the ability to make a pair of trousers!!! (Can you guess what I was doing last night!!) House is tidy and quiet..bliss! :j
Got so much achieved yesterday, even tho my cold was streaming I just got stuck in!
Got the living room cleaned to within an inch of it's life and moved all the furniture to fit the tree in (including the tv and that wasn't easy) Looks really cosy now. The tree came down from the loft but won't go up until next week. Sorted through my decs, put a box back in the loft of bits I don't want (not getting rid incase I change my mind next year) I've been letting DD's choose a new "something" for the tree every year, reasoning that when they leave home they'll have a few bits that have lots of memories.
Sorted and tested all the lights, all worked fine apart from the new set we got for the garden... 1 of the wires isn't even wired in!!! DH will be taking them back today (I got them from a decent shop too even tho they were cheaper in a bargin shop - my reasoning was you can never be too carefull with electricity....yeah right!)
DH is taking back one of DD2's xmas pressies too - we only got it last weekend and paid £30 and saw it in the same chain of shops but different branch for £18 on saturday (phoned the branch where I bought it - still £30!!) How do they get away with it??? So he's taking it back to the cheaper branch, getting a refund and then walking over to pick a cheaper one up!
Need to shove some washing going in a bit, then I'm going to sit and finish making a dragon for DD2, finished the other one last night - he's so cute - will post a piccy when I get time and a link to the online pattern if anyone wants it.
Hope you all have a great monday"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Hi All. :hello:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEENIE!!!!!!!! _party_
Had a busy weekend, and DD1 feeling poorly on Friday night and all day Saturday but seems to be recovered now.
Put up the tree and decs in lounge yesterday, it looks fabulous! :j Still have small tree to decorate and put in porch, will try and fit it in one evening this week.
Plans for today are, loads of cleaning - top to bottom house clean day today, and put a colour on my hair as hairdresser is coming later to cut it. Tea will be chicken and leek pie with pots and veg already prepared. Bath and bed DD's early so I can do ironing whilst watching Im a celeb with a glass of baileys I think. Have loads of sewing to do so Im trying to do all the hand sewing before dragging out the machine to finish off. Why am I such an akward size, nothing I like fits properly without me taking it all to bits and redoing it. I blame my parents.
OH has some running around to do this week, DD2 "only wants a bed for Xmas" poor thing we make her sleep on the floor! _pale_ No, she wants a loft bed and I always said no in case she fell out, but as she is now 7 have agreed she can have one as it will give her more space to play in her room, so OH has to go to Ikea and arrange delivery on one. DD1 is having a digital camera so I have everything crossed that my Empire Stores bargain arrives (see Grabbit board) or else it will be a mad dash on Xmas Eve!
Also was in a complaining mood on Friday so I sent an e-mail to Natwest and to Argos to complain but I somehow doubt it will do any good at all. Still OH and I are changing our bank accounts in New Year, after banking with Natwest for over 20 years. And Im boycotting Argos 'cos I hate the place!
Better crack on, have a good O/S day everyone, especially Queenie!
PS Forgot to mention, and Im so excited, I can now finally join Freecycle in New Year as have some things to offer! DD2's bed and headboard, plus we have a table top dishwasher in the garage somewhere will get OH to locate it after Xmas, and my mum wants to get rid of her tumble drier, OH thinks Im mad to be excited about it but I am!0 -
Happy Birthday Queenie.
