Oh my word = im EXHAUSTED!! Today was massively busy at work and the queue was there all day! I have so much work left over to do tomorrow, but at least it wasnt a bad day.

I still want to leave though as im not enjoying the 6 day weeks to make up the lack of a decent wage. Managed to do a lot in the one day off I had last week (yesterday) - I bought my tree, bought a lovely coffee table and got a nice paypal discount thanks to the the discount board, got the bills account in order, cleaned, saw a friend, ironed some clothes, did a batch cook and made a decent dinner.

I came home this evening to the smell of Pizza, the boyf had bought pizza and it was here for when I got home so I didnt have to cook which was really nice and very thoughtful, and the right day to have done that!

This evening involves sitting on my lazy butt chilling out, Wednesday I have to go to a meeting after work (overtime paid!) so no doubt ill just go to bed when I get back, so tonight I think ill work out how much I get paid next week and plan a proper budget as January is going to be a very long month.

    See you all later!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEENIE!

Hope you are having a lovely day Queenie! Have just been to Costco and stocked up for Christmas with wine and beer and managed to get a set of 10 books for a friend for £9.99 and Jamie's Italy for £9.89. Had to buy the tray of danish pastries as well! :o but put half of them in the freezer before oh found them! I also now have enough surf and comfort to see me into spring! :D

Have just finished my 2nd knitted hat and have started on a knitted shawl and all using some really nice wool from a charity stall, the shawl is in a lovely fluffy blue and lavender yarn. My fingers ache but I am determined to finish it. Just going to make a kedgaree with some nice smoked haddock I got in Costcos.

Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Very late posting today, have had a bad weekend, developed chest pains so off to the Docs this morning, been to the local hospital for an ECG, allowed home so guess I am not haiving a heart attack,, Doc thinks it a result of my coughing.......will see what the reults are next week.

We are now having to think about whether to go on our trip to France for Christmas, decided to leave it until next Monday when I have to get the results from the Doc....we are due to leave on Wednesday next week......will have to wait and see. DH is having to cook etc, I am just wiped out, slept for almost 2 hours this afternoon, feel a little better now, but felt like something the cat brough in and forgot this morning...DH took me to the Docs and also to the hospital, no way could I have taken myself.

Tootles, I do hope you feel better soon, as I know you are really looking forward to your trip to France. I am a fellow Francophile, and I think you post on the same French forum as I do!

    All the best,

Ah, the sweet, sweet satisfaction of actually getting things done :D

Spicy sausage casserole is bubbling away in a pot on the stove - that's Sainsburys Taste the Difference pancetta & parmesan sausages (reduced), courgette, leek, onion, garlic, red chilli (de-seeded!), mushroom, green pepper and yellow pepper, all bunged in together with veg stock, herbs, a tin of tomatoes and a good old slug of cheap port, and hopefully ready in half an hour or so to eat with rice. I did a pound of rice, which'll make one portion for my dinner and four for the freezer, and I wouldn't be surprised if the casserole made six portions!

Cracked open a bottle of red to share with housemate, and have also just discovered the sinful pleasure of Lidl Coffee Cream Chocolate!

I have registered with the Asda website and shall hopefully be organising our home delivery for Christmas food & booze before the day is out.

Still to come tonight, I've got to make sure I finish my opera review article (no matter how busy I am, I keep up with my contributions to this - it gets me a nice supply of free opera tickets!) and check through the stuff I'm singing at my church fundraiser tomorrow. All before I get too blotto on this delicious red wine.

    I am a reformed woman!

So far today I have put the BM on timer. Got the SC ready so all I have to do is throw the switch before going to work in the morning. The WM is similarly filled so it can do a towel wash - also on timer so it finishes spinning just before I am due home.

vacum.gif Done makebed.gif Done (I am now in it  ).

Even loo.gif and Washingup.gif and the ironing.gif done!
