    (((Johanne))))

I had a good day at work, my new frame of mind propelled me to work like a demon today and actually smile about it all! Crayzzzee! Still have stacks to do in the new year but im clearing the big pile steadily and hopefully in January will have time to get on with more interesting stuff.

Cant be bothered to make HM burgers so am sending boyf out to get chinese shortly as the refund came from DVLA$$holes. He was also a good boy while I was at work, hoovered, did all the dishes and the first part of a course thingy (vision2learn) that ive been telling him to do for ages. Those crayola window pens turned out to be a great freebie from the freebie board as thats what i used to write a jobs list to boyf on the mirrored wardrobe, and it magically all got done. Kind of a first! I wrote my new years resolutions on it too, to keep me focussed (cant avoid a 5ft high notice when im doing my make up in the morning!)

Ive got to work tomorrow, but only 9-12, and I dont mind so much because I actually convinced myself into thinking it was Thursday so tomorrow can be a short friday.

Off to scan freebies then park my bum in front of the TV.

    Jo xx

How on earth do lot manage to get your sprogs into bed at this time  I'm lucky if my 3 are all in bed by 9pm!?!?!?!?!I've always let them stay up late as DH not home from work till 7pm on a good day, 7.30ish on a normal day. The kids get all over excited by him and are hyper until late. I've always said I would rather this than them never get to see him on a weekday but have to admit I am looking forward to the move. DH will be just 5 mins from work then :j We are moving to Leighton Buzzard, what is the weather so far inland? I've always lived by the coast.

kiwichick - im a single parent and with 4 kids i have to run my house at bedtime like a bootcamp lol. the youngest two are in separate bedroom so they go up together at 6pm (DS3 doesnt sleep in the day anymore and DD only has about an hour mid morning usually) DS2 goes up at 7pm (but is hyper from the moment he opens his eyes so he is ready by 7pm) and DS1 goes up between 8-9pm depending on the night of the week. however, if their dad was here i would probably do the same as you lol

Hey - I only have 2 kids and Mr TM and I still like to have my 2 in bed between 7-7.30. They've both been in bed since before 7 tonight as they had a really late night last night as friends were here. DS1 will read until he wants to sleep and DS2 is currently singing nursery rhymes, but will also settle down on his own. I like my evenings to myself, all too soon they'll be staying up later and later.

Also, I find if they go to bed early, they gat as much sleep as they need and we never have to wake them for school. They usually wake around 6.45-7am anyway.
  • jamie......sllooooooooowwwwwwwww hope both our days are more cheerful tomorrow!!

i must admit im just pure lucky!!!! no magic mummy stories, strictness etc...pure luck dd1(nearly 3) has always asked to go to bed if shes not there by 6.30 at latest and dd2(8.5 months) just screams like mad from 5-5.30 and as soon as you undress her for jammies her little face lights up!!
i dont know how i'd have tackled it if they'd been different but it is lovely to know even after crappy day like today i get my evening and 98% of the time a full nights sleep.
dd1 has refused a daytime nap since she was 15 months and dd2 only has two short naps of around 30 mins so i guess they just use their energy up in the daytime.

 HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE TO ALL OSers

A bright and early start in the house of Kiwi today thanks to DS. Hes been up for half and hour now and I didnt get to bed until 11pm with DD2 who was then up most of the night coughing, me thinks a wee sleep is in order if I am to see the New Year in tonight ;)

Its too dark to see what the weather is doing but I cant see any snow which means it is probably going to be wet again today.

Not too much on today, some more loft sorting prehaps and then packing for SIL's. She always has a party on New Years Eve and we stay over, nice.

Right then, off to make coffee, god knows I need it today!

Well-its New Years Eve  another year gone by. Its gone so fast hasnt it?

I have no new years resolutions as such. I would just like to be well and focus on getting healthier/better. Its been a really bad year for us and dont want a repeat this year-surely nobody can be that unlucky  well if anyone can-I can..LOL

I wish everyone one of you success in anything you do for 2006 and hope that its a good one for you all and your families. Hugs and kisses to all of you. You have all helped me so much this year and apreciate that so much.

    Will catch up later.

    Love to all

Thanks PP, thats a lovely message to all. I really do hope that 2006 will be the start of a better time for you and your family. So many of us OSers have had to struggle through 2005 for one reason or another, it would be good to see us all landing on our feet.
