Ok - I've made lunch, put my 2nd load in WM, part TD'd and hung rest on rads, sorted rest of laundry, put pressies away and tidied/vac'd downstairs, cleared kitchen, put BM and DW on, frozen stuff from fridge that needed doing, made some phone calls, watched MMR and now I'm having a surf on here and having a brandy and babycham :snow_grin Well, it's still Xams, isn't it?

Mr TM and MIL have taken boys to feed the ducks, but they've been gone so long I wonder what they are up to. Probably spending money!! (Ours, not MIL's)

Made myself feel good about the sales. Went on the Boots site, selected what I wanted, then didn't buy it:snow_laug . That's what I call money-saving. I don't have any birthdays for a few months yet, so plenty of time to find some bargains. I often 'mine-sweep' in the last few days of a sale, still only getting what I want, but paying less than I would now. If I miss a few bargains at 50% off, then I don't worry about it.

Oooh, this drink is kicking in :D My ears are getting all hot :snow_grin  Anyone care to join me? I still have plenty of baileys-u-like, as Math calls it, for those in need of a pep-up coffee.

    PMSL:rotfl:

I've sat and watched Lord Martin of Moneysaver in Make me rich this afternoon and scoffed a dime bar and a medium white wine while I was at it. This is the first time I've watched Martin's latest media offering (am I safe admitting this on MSE) It's on at an odd time but very good. It would be a laugh to get him to do an MSE Ol'Styler and try to claw back some cash - could he do it I wonder? He's trained us to well I fear.

Mrs MATH is clattering about in the kitchen making an unplanned dinner as the home we were dining out at this evening is snowed in which is a common drawback living in the country. Days after the towns are clear we're still skidding about like giddy goats.

I've decided I must do some industrial de-crudding tomorrow cos we're starting to look like the house kim and Aggie wouldn't go into. Off to garner offers of help from the MATHLETTS (with threats and bribes if needed).

    Catch yall tomorrow

I fought my way through Tesco. How many thick people decide to descend when I go there? It's as though people have never been shopping before in their lives and they look as though they don't know what they want. I, on the otherhand, tried to breeze my way through clutching my shopping list. Got 3 presents for the 3 friends that I'm seeing on Saturday, that don't already have a present from me - all in the Tesco sale. :D The icing on the Tesco cake was when I was stuck in the queue for the checkout for 15 mins and it wasn't moving an inch

Back now, watched MMR, 2nd load in the WM and now contemplating the ironing pile...................................................

Should have complained Vicky... *chuckles as she is now on a Tesco vendetta!* Next time on your way out.. go to customer services and tell them your disgusted at the time youve had to queue for.. you THOUGHT they had a policy of if theres more than one person infront of you they would open another till... (and dont take the "not enough staff bull..if theres not enough staff the managers ARE trained to use the tills and have been seen getting thrown on them in our store when we were really busy! ;) ) mention that you are now running late for *insert something semi-important* and that it wouldnt happen in your local asda/sainsburys/waitrose etc etc and you will be seriously considering shopping there next time.... and just as they are about to fob you off with an apology Say slightly under your breath ... "so much for the "every little helps" shopping experiance.. shall be noting this poor service in my report" then walk off! Will put the heebiejeebies up them that your a mystery shopper or from head office coming to check up as the "every little helps shopping experiance" is a "secret" set of rules they are meant to follow to provide excellent customer service! :p OK .. *steps off her soap box* Sorry had to get that off my chest! :rotfl:

Just got back from the shops... finally fell asleep at 8am and woke up at 1pm :o just in time for martin! ;) Was fantastic as everywhere was dead.. only 2 people infront of me in the post office.. which is bizarre as its a big main one and its usually queuing out the door! There was NO-one in the bank.. the cashiers were almost fighting to serve me! :rotfl: and there was only about 2 people infront of me in Kwik Save and a super-dooper-whooper fast cashier ... and only about 10 customers in the whole shop... so very pleasureable (except for the drunken old man in the queue behind me smelling very strongly of whisky!) Spent a whole £6.28 and got everything on my list except potatoes! So once i have them im sorted for the week food wise! :)

Just going to settle with a snack and a cuppa tea.. having a late tea tonight i think as not too hungry at the mo. Then im going to have to tidy up! Been just dumping random bags of washing/presents/diy stuff ive brought home from mums.. so place looks like carrier lucky dip! Each bag holds a different surprise! :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: @ johanne! I was just so narked by that stage that the last thing that I wanted to do was talk to anyone because I might have just ripped their heads off. They did put out a request for "all team leaders to the tills" but that was just as I was getting served.

And all the people that weren't queuing in front of you? Why! They were in my local Tesco! :D

    Evening!

Today had a quiet start, then got really busy in the afternoon, seems like all the loved up couples were milling around today wanting joint accounts. Which is good, because we met the target that we didnt think we would, (we dont get paid extra though, we meet our targets for.... errrr.... well, approval from a manager I suppose!).

I changed my mind on curry for dinner, I didnt have cream in the fridge (didnt fancy searing my tastebuds to be honest!) so its a fish n chips evening instead. Returned the stuff to Next, and very cheekily gave the wrong card to the girl who didnt really understand what was going on, (maestro instead of visa cc) so I just got myself a cash advance for 0%. Sweet!!

Anyway, im starving so im going to make food then sit on my butt and watch tv. Actually, im going to do the things I failed to do last night, interspersed with sitting on the butt. Need to make a shopping list too, we ran out of laundry powder and I have a mountain of clothes to wash!

    Jo xx
