    Morning!

its bloody FREEZING!!!! Why oh why do I have to leave the house in this weather!!! The roads are dead, I think everyone else couldnt be bothered either. Im feeling a little less tired than I did yesterday, and at least its thursday. Id love to work 3 days a week all the time, its so much more fun.

Im taking some stuff back to Next today as ive got one near my work as well as my home, and boyf has a few tasks to complete for me. He's aso got some more to do tomorrow as I failed miserably in my task of getting everything I need to get sorted last night, ive got to organise a return of a DVD player still, and a few bits of mail. At least most of it is done though.

Ill probably make a curry for dinner tonight as I think something warming and filling needs to be had! On that note, im off to drink my vat of tea.

    Have a lovely day all!

    Morning everyone :xmassmile

Sorry to hear about your bad night Johanne - we've had the same bug in our house. Last night was the first full night I slept through. It seems to last for 2 or 3 days, starting with a sore throat and then developing into a cold.

Like Queenie, I too have stayed at home and resisted shopping. We have more than enough in the house to keep us going and everytime I make something I end up with left overs to turn into other meals. Having five in the house rather than three, I'm not too good at judging amounts and try to overfeed everyone

Have a lovely day Jamiedodger ... we spent an evening this week looking at old videos of the birthday parties our daughter's had at the age of 4 and 6 (they are now 18 and 20). We ended up rolling over the sofa giggling (mainly at the fashions the adults were wearing!).

I need to sort out my post too Snowy-owl. I must do it today - it's tended to get put on one side over Christmas. I think I'll also take a look at Martin's advice on credit card tarting again.

Today I am going to try to get out for a walk ... I'm beginning to vegetate in the house. All I have done is cook meals and read my Christmas books. I'm beginning to feel the need to blow the cobwebs away.

Have a lovely OS day everyone! :santa2:
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

Had friends over last night and didnt go till about 1 and am absolutely knackered but had a great evening and caught up on loads of gossip :p Made HM chill con carne, with HM Garlic bread, lovely salad made up of iceburg, cucumber, red and yellow crunchy peppers and tomatoes (all reduced). Friend bought the puddings of HM trifle and profiteroles and I supplied the cream (reduced to 10p..lol) Everyone said meal tasted great-which I was happy about ;)

1 washload done, toilet cleaned and downstairs done. Have reserved a clothes airer from Argos which is reduced to £11 from £19 and has pull out arms which you can hang shirts on hangers on IYKWIM. Also bought an iron board for SIL reduced to £6.50 ;)

CQ-DD took her 11+ a few weeks back. She said it was easier than what we were doing at home with the papers etc, but i dont know if thats good or bad..lol. Anyway, I hope he goes ok (((((((CQ'S DS))))))))))

Anyways, I better go as not feeling well today. Breakie: trifle. Lunch: Jacket spud and left over chilli. Dinner: Sausage, mash and beans.

    Have a good day everyone.

Dont know about elsewhere but here in Essex they took the 11+ in November & get results in March altho my DD didnt take it as it is too far to travel.
  • Morning!

Good luck to your DS Queenie.

Happy B-day to your DS JamieDodger! My DS1 will be 8 in March, is yours a strop too? I'm sure mine is 7 going on 17!

My wrists have been really hurting for a few weeks and I started taking some calcium vits as I got a bit worried (have never drunk milk apart from in tea etc), sometimes I can't hold things and get scared I'm gonna drop stuff. Now my lower back is so bad I can hardly bend. Hope it's not connected

My mum might visit today so will have to get busy cleaning, lol. Can't do much tho cos of my back but whatever

    Enjoy your day all!

have lil sis and bro this morning while mums at work.

Ohhh just remembered good news I'm not going back to work :j :j :j lady from personel phoned me yesterday and said that I could just hand in my resignation and not worry bout going back as already on maternity :j :j this is great as I'm getting sod all sleep as none of my 3 children are sleeping through at the momment (4months 2 and 6).
Have put on 1/2 a stone over december 183.gif
so am going to have start eating a lot healthier again, must admit I only seem to be eating rubish at the momment. although dp finished off my cereal this morning, I didn't even know the packet had been opened  apparently he opened it 3 days ago and it's gone already blinking typical me not getting any of my cereal. I buy my self a box about once every 6 weeks as I'm a fussy git and only like a few cereals and don't eat them everyday, so they last and as per usual by the time I get round to eating them they have been devoured by his royal highness    .
    So no brekkie for me
    lunch will be pizza breads
tea will involve prawns in some way as I defrosted some and they need eating.
    w/m not on

although they all should be :snow_laug

hope you all have a good day

Thanks Essex-girl - didn't know that Essex did it differently. :D:D
And also for jogging my memory - your mention of library ... need to renew mine.

Anyone else have Yr 6's taking/taken their 11+ ? Which month did they take theirs?

apple-mint: thank you for jogging my memory too!
Your talk of leftovers has reminded me that I can use up the leftover jar of cranberry sauce making up a Cranberry & Apple Pie for the freezer. (Basically an apple pie but layering the apples with the cranberry sauce, then baking as usual).
