    Aftenoon all,

Just got in, had a call from dd to say she was not going to gym as she does not feel well, so picked her up early, she has a headache, is cold and shivery and feels sick  , she had a cold last week so it might be the tail end of that, any hoo have her wrapped in a blanket at the moment, she will have a hot bath and see how she feels, tbh I think she may be tired its a long day for them, we are up at 6.15 each day, and by the end of the week it wears you out, and along with clubs and homework its a lot for them to do, lots of cuddles and an early night might help ;) .

    Happy Birthday to Math xx

Charlies mum and dad :D Happy anniversary xx

Squiggly hugs to you hun xx glad you feel a bit brighter xx

Lyndseyann hope you feel better soon xx

Marie, hope you get your Ulick home soon xx Sorry for being ignorant but how do you pronounce his name ?

    Good luck tired mum xx

MRSTITTLEMOUSE hope you feel better soon x

Well the course was just as bad today  , the chap is telling us what buttons to press and what answer we should be getting, but not why we should be doing it  , so i phoned the college and complained, the lady said 'well he has a very good pass rate' and I said i am sure he has, and I am sure we will all pass, but it wont do me any good if I have to put it into practice, cos I don't know what I am doing  . Its not too bad for me cos I use sage every day in my job, but some of the others have never used it. he did not even explain what Sage is  . Anyhoo she said she will phone me back, next week. I am not sure weather I will go back or not, I will probably 'pass' but wont understand what I have passed iykwim

Anyhoo have good evenings all xx
  • well, week 1 of our new budget and some OS saving seems to have gone quite well. The lentils and oats added to spag bol still haven't been discovered, the Singapore noodles have been declared "yummy" and the Lamb Koftas from the £5 challenge went down so well OH ate 10 of them, rather than his allocated 3 ...

white vinegar is softening our clothes, Starbright is cleaning everything beautifully and I'm switching lights off left, right and centre.

this weeks challenges will be to introduce lentils and oats into moroccan lamb, use some Value meats without himself noticing and for me to try fishcakes for the first time in 17 years (I have been veggie but have reverted to make cooking easier and cheaper).

I phoned the hospital about the letter & they insist my name is on their patient database, despite my trying to explain how worrying I found this I got nowhere, I finally phoned the local paper! More details on my blog.

The strangest thing has just happened, someone knocked on my door, as it's Thursday I assumed it was the milkman. A young man was stood there, 'did you ring for some blow' he asked. I looked at him blankly, 'smoke?' you phoned for some. I assured him I hadn't. 'Is this Cranberry Close' he asked? I told him he was looking for the next turning along. He apologised & hurried away. I didn't know you could order takeaway crack, I've never ordered anything more exotic than takeaway chinese. Funniest of all, I actually know who lives at the house he was looking for, pupils at my school!

PS, I phoned my DD who explained that I was being offered crack cocaine, so I have edited my post accordingly

Hester,,there used to be people across the road fro,m us and we assumed they used to deliver ''blow '' as she got a scooter and was out 7-8 times a night and also daytime queues. Luckily they have now been moved

I think these days, one can order anything as a takeaway

Please could you point me in the right direction? I'm intrigued now!

Twink, whereabouts are you? It's just cold & damp here, but OH is in Aberdeen this week & I don't think he has his cold-weather-kit in the car yet, so I was wondering if he'd be caught out! Oh well, he should keep the de-icer & scraper under his seat all year round like me :D

Have resorted to the heating, but the thermostat is only on about 18deg & its on a timer for early am & after work/evening so not too bad, just enough to take the chill off! Am a bit cross with the boiler - it decided it wasn't going to play yesterday, so I called British Gas, got an appointment for Monday (more to suit me than them ;)) then about half an hour later when the immersion had been on to heat the water to wash up & have a bath - the flipping boiler kicked in & started up!!  Have kept appointment as it is making some very strange noises...

Right, am off to forage in the fridge & as it's Thirsty Thursday, I will have a glass of red (purely for medicinal purposes, and to finish the wine box because it's been open for oooh, ages - about 5 weeks! :D)

    See you later
