Mornng friends, cold and sunny here today, thanks for all the good wshes had yesterday, the memorial serivce was lovely and there were quite a few tears shed. DD2 is planning an engagement party for the end of November, so that 's going to give us all somethng to look forward to.
Progressed well with the bathroom yesterday, got two walls done with the claddng, and the shower tray installed, wll be putting the frame up today.
I must say it looks absolutley gorgeous!
DH is picking up the new alternator for the campervan today, cost £98, and the autoservice garage had a terrible time locating a one for him, it was because there were only 20 of these campers orignally made and that was the original alternator that was on after 17 years, hasn't it done well!!
Well i am off now to prep tonights tea, liver, bacon casserole, and then i will tidy up yet again, its never endIng at the moment, have a good day all, BSB XX0 -
Morning all,
been MIA for a couple of days working my way through my to-do list, and feeling a bit low too. However, the sun is shining today & no good keep moping about.
Will do some catching up in a bit (i hope), but (((((hugs))))) to all those needing them - and hope those poorly OH's are still on the mend.
MeanMarie, sounds like good news for Ulick then.
Whatatwit, hope your FIL is as comfortable as he can be. Sounds like you do whatever you can to make life nice for him
PoppyO, glad you & OH are doing ok
PenPin, I would cook the lasagne as well today, then could you freeze it? Otherwise, it should be ok in the fridge & then all you are essentially doing Saturday is heating it through.
Redruby, hope the course does turn out to be better today - but definitely make a complaint if not.
Back a bit later, waiting to hear where my uni placement is this week hopefully - most of my mates know theirs alreadyLive your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -

Morning everyone - I haven't posted for almost a week, though I've tried to keep reading. My laptop seemed to be running really slow,so I've tried the usual things, seems better, fingers crossed, but it drove me mad and I gave up surfing a few times.
PP glad you're feeling brighter today.
Meanmarie,better news about Ulick,thats good.
(((Hugs to everyone who is unwell or sad ))) (((Whatatwits FIL)))
We had our nephews to stay at the weekend (14 & 16)so that all went well-apart from the journey over the M62 on Fri aft - normally takes 50 mins,2 1/2 hrs  and more or less the same coming back.
We foraged about in the wood next to us for logs to burn on the woodburner, knew there had been a tree fallen a couple of years back,so we hauled some quite large logs which DH cut with his trusty saw- result, nice warm house without resorting to the ch.I am so glad we put it in,lots of people tried to talk us out of it and get a 'nice living flame gas fire instead, not as messy'. It is a bit messy, but oh so cosy, and with prices as they are...need I say more.Might light it soon-it feels v cold here .Although it looked quite bright when I got up I think it might rain soon.
I don't plan on going out today, apart from taking the dog out,but will have a good clean up- I spent ages looking for DHs new cheque book that had arrived and he couldn't find.He was frustrated as he wanted to pay some bills and only had a couple left.He blamed me for putting it somewhere and forgetting (ok,that was true but I couldn't admit to it ,could I)It took me ages to find,it had slipped down the back of the sideboard and left me feeling grumpy all day.I did manage to sort out loads of paper to go in the recycling bin,and shredded quite a lot as well.By then it was nearly time to get the tea sorted so an unproductive kind of day really.
Hope everyone has a good day. xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Hope everyone's okay today! I'm at work this morning (working really hard as you can see!) I'm waiting for the £10 last minute hotel rooms to come on then I'm planning on booking one for my parents, I've got them free tickets to see harry hills TV burp so I need a hotel :rotfl:
When I get home I'm going to do the ironing for my parents and make some oaky biscuits. We're having a take away tonight because it's my mums birthday so not much to do after that, no washing up to do later either! :eek:days like this really seem to throw me out because pot washing marks that it's 7 o'clock for me. I'm just going to be walking around lost and confused without my routine by then.
Have a great day today, it'll never happen again! (coining some of my friends phrases there)0 -

Morning everyone,I'm a bit fragile this morning had another migraine last night and still got the remnants in the side of my head.I had MrT snoring all night and could of strangled him.He had the cheek to wake up and say he'd such a good night.
It's a beautiful sunny day and although it's chilly it still makes you feel good to see the sun.
I'm going to be stripping wallpaper from my lobby today. We have found a bit of rising damp in the corner, which was the only place they did'nt do a new dampcourse on when we moved in.So since it's not a very large area me and MrT are going to do the damp proofing ourselves.I refuse to waste money paying someone on something I can do myself.MrT was'nt too pleased but he only has to drill some holes,It's the one thing I find trouble with electric drills.I'll do the rest.
I quite enjoy a bit of plastering and decorating.
Everyone seems to be vey busy today so I hope we all get the results we want.
Have a good day everybody.
Take care xxx.0
