Do you have plain flour and marg/butter to make shortcrust pastry? If so, you could mix the sausagemeat with chopped onion and some sage and make a double crust pie. I bought some sausagemeat reduced today and that's what I intend to do with mine (eventually). HTH.

I don't see what's wrong with a plait made with shortcrust pastry. I'm not a stickler for religiously following recipes, I just adapt them to what I've got to hand.

Not everyone has that skill. It's only easy when you know how :)
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I would have used it for a bolognese type sauce - surprisingly yummy!
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!

Eh, I never claimed to actually have any cooking-skills or that the food I prepare is passably edible. Sometimes it's doubtful, even to me. ;)

    Scotch Eggs,
  • I love Panda's remarks...really made me laugh...hehehe!!!
  • The French stuff tomatoes with it - just add chopped fried onions and herbs and some of the chopped tomato flesh (not the juice), stuff your tomato and put in the oven. You need quite big tomatoes for that, but peppers or big mushrooms would work well too.
If we are supposed to be thin, why does chocolate exist?
