I've got some sausage meat in the freezer which has been there for a while. Anyone got any ideas of what I can do with it that doesnt involve pastry?

Well, you could make sausages...
Or alternatively you could save it for Christmas and make sausagemeat stuffing for your turkey - stuff half the bird with sausagemeat-based stuffing and the other half with sage & onion. Can't remember how you work out what to put where cos I've never stuffed a whole turkey, but this is certainly what my mum has always done (it's probably Delia...)Operation Get in Shape

You could make scotch eggs - roll it around a hard boiled egg and cover it in breadcrumbs and bake."This site is addictive!"

How about adding garlic and spices to the sausagemeat, rolling it into shapes and baking it and then threading onto skewers with tomato and other veg so it is a kebab?"This site is addictive!"

Add some chopped onion and peppers, make into small burger shapes, coat in seasoned flour and lightly fry, pop into a warm oven to cook through and serve with potato wedges......yummmmmmmms"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

My Mum used to make a Sausage Pie.
Mix the sausage meat with chopped onions and mushrooms if available and brown it off.
Put in the bottom of a casserole dish.
Add a tin of baked beans
Cover with mashed potatoes (like cottage pie)
Voila - a meal in one dish or serve with a green veg eg. peas0
