Cheap Parcel Delivery Thread MK3

Everyone who has a similar site such as parcel machine are just using p4d's software and most probably their DHL account. p4d are fine and it's all perfectly legitimate.
Direct Parcel Distribution are nothing to do with PT, for starters they are not a ltd company so the owner remains totally liable. Website seems to be up.
Freightsearch and payperparcel are vat registered, so offer services at £5.99 and £5.85-6.15. That in turn leads to people like Sale Track and Freightsearch (again) who can set up sub accounts with the top price being £5.70, and thats availalbe from even 50/month. However you dress PB prices there are better out there, but if their services is good that is something.
As for discountdeliveryuk that's a bit of a oxymoron to be honest.0 -
When you get taken through to PayPal it says:
Direct Parcel Distribution Ltd
When you stick that into Companies House you get:
DIRECT PARCEL DISTRIBUTION LIMITED
7 BOURTON GARDENS
BOURNEMOUTH
UNITED KINGDOM
BH7 7HZ
Company No. 06690956

We've been using FedEx for a couple a weeks now and few observations which might be of interest.
- Your first pick up may fail
- The ANC operation which they took over needs a lot of attention, drivers don't even have scanners
- The tracking in the U.K is pants, but catches up once it reaches destination country
- Delivery time is excellent however, 3 days to the States
- Customer service is also top notch, far superior than DHL

dunno if its of any interestParcelforce Worldwide today announced the launch of two new delivery services, improving choice and convenience for businesses and their customers.
Parcelforce PM is a new, cost-effective next day afternoon delivery service which complements existing services that guarantee delivery by 9am, 10am and 12 noon next day. Choosing morning or afternoon delivery helps customers manage their time more effectively because they don’t have to wait in all day for a parcel with no specific delivery time.
Enabling companies, including catalogue and online retailers, to provide improved choice to their customers, increasing delivery convenience and satisfaction, the service provides full tracking of an item’s progress from collection to delivery.
And Parcelforce 48 Large has been launched in response to customer demand for a service to deliver larger items. Ideal for home shopping and business-to-business deliveries, the service delivers items up to 5 metres maximum length and girth combined within two days.
Nick Landon, Parcelforce Worldwide’s Head of Marketing, said: "Convenience and added value are top of the agenda at Parcelforce Worldwide and the introduction of these new services gives us the strongest range of service choice in the delivery market.
"Parcelforce PM and Parcelforce 48 Large will help sectors of great value to the UK, most notably e-retail, retail, wholesale, agriculture and construction, which together account for approximately 17% of the UK economy."
He added: "Offering greater delivery choice gives businesses an edge over their competitors and allows their customers to choose the services that best suit their specific needs."
IKEA has already signed up to the Parcelforce 48 Large service and Lucy Batchelor, Operational Planning and Flow Manager, said: "As one of the first companies to use this service, we’ve found it invaluable in giving the flexibility to deliver large items to our customers throughout the UK in two days."0 -
Sounds very promising to me, particularly if you integrated a am/pm delivery option into your website which customers then chose on checkout.
But I think you have to be sending 50+ a week to get £6+vat on 48hr as it is, if you have a direct account, so I don't know what the premium will be for this. Can you use your influence to get them to remove the re-seller restrictions!!! (cant re-sell PF for less than £13'ish)0
