No idea about the US parcel re-sellers market.

Worth emailing direct parcel distribution and seeing if they can do imports. I also know for sure transglobalexpress and interparcel do, worldwide parcel services might do.

...have the cheapest insurance options I think. Any of the companies on the first page have extra insurance options. At a guess you'll be looking at £12-15. All DHL

Make sure you pack it very very well. Polystyrene for the shocks, bubble wrap for the bumps!

Not that I ever suggested that they were connected, but coinciding with the disappearance of parceltree and it's siblings, MHD ebay/MDH web have stopped offering cheap DHL.

Thanks for your opinion Armitage. Very accurate as always. So what would you think will happened with DPD as they offer Fedex as well. I'm just curious why most DHL resellers go bankrupt. Shafi was on the market longer than PPW for example and he also has problems as far as I understand.
What's opinion on this one Armitage?

So why parcel2go keep their rates at the same level as before? This is the only thing that makes me wander

DPD will be ok, as they will probably be using someone else's account, most probably p4d. FedEx as U.K service is not viable because the tracking is so poor and communication with drivers is likewise- the remnants of ANC. FedEx was to be ppw and shafi's get out of jail free card, but could only manage 3 days of offering it through wigi dispatch before the problems got to much. They are now offering one service- DHL at £8.99! As for DPD offering FedEx there is still the same problems, but they only use them for international so I guess it is managable. For us the rates easily negate the problems.

Shafis problem was for a while he was a fairly big player but not very popular amoungst his competitors, but due to his size they couldn't do anything about him. Then once he hit trouble there wasn't going to be many willing to throw him a life jacket (DHL account). Conjecture.

I think DHL are happy to have a few big players. Interparcel and parcel2go fit the bill- little chance of them going bust and have an established market share. They probably worked on the basis that rationalising the resellers market wouldn't have too bigger affect, but importantly stop costly bankruptcies.

You are definitely right but it also means higher prices for us as DHL won't leave us to many options.

Is anyone currently using Pay Per Parcel?

I have this morning booked 7 parcels but they are still sitting on "awaiting collection confirmation" I actually have 12 to book but the rest are going to Ireland and i cannot seem to get that to work so i have tried calling them and noone is answering the phone! have tried about 7 times this morning.. I do usually send parcels through them all the time with no problems (last was on the 3rd Nov)

Anyone having any problems with them?

Can anyone recommend a GOOD company that are STILL trading. I have about 15 parcels awaiting to post, some to Ireland (dublin)
