Price is a little high, I know but the quality of their services is much higher.

As far as I know genuine DPD belongs to Geopost and their website address is DPD.co.uk.
So you can probably call them DPD Geopost or refer to their website.
I was trying to find out what the shortcut DPD means but couldn't find it on their website. I think it's a German shortcut.
I also think that InterlinkExpress is the same company as DPD but not 100% sure.
I would always recommend their services as they're really high standard.

Deustcher Parcel Distribution I think. Some re-sellers use DPD for European shipping and your rates are similar if not better so you've done pretty well.
It would be nice to eradicate the phony DPD from MSE.

Just on Express Packages, I can't fault them personally. But at the end of the day it's horses for courses.
  • In Paul's email he recommended Parcel Tree, anyone had any experience with them before? I have made two bookings but the status, not like the prompt update with PPW, is still pending...
I am also trying to send something of 120cmX65cmX65cm with couriers whose limit is 120cmX60cmX60cm. How likely will it be rejected??
    Thanks!
  • Oh dear Armitage.
I have been a staunch supporter of you and your recommendations in the past but I have just discovered something.
I am about to make a post about the courier services that I have used and my experiences with them and for quickness I copied and pasted some of your links (on the first page).

Being the thorough person that I am, I double checked all the links that you gave to make sure that they worked and I was dismayed to find that the link you gave for for Interparcel came up with
    Not Found

The requested URL /Prepaid Parcel Worldwide Express was not found on this server.

And the link to UK Courier Express was mispelt and came up with

    Not Found

The requested URL /Pay Per Parcel Booking Cut-off was not found on this server.

Why did the interparcel link mention PPW?
Why wasthe link to Uk Courier Express spelled wrong and mention Pay Per Parcel?

I will post my recommendations soon and I do hope that you have a valid explanation for the above.

Cheers ArmitageShanks for taken this on.

I've stayed away from the !!!!!ing of recent Courier Threads & its seems a lot of companies are struggling financial with tighter limits & Competitiveness including DHL & their Resellers.

Its happened before & will continue with DHL & other courier co's closing Accounts & the resulting madness is that Competitiveness will drop allowing realistic manageable prices with increases to around the £10 mark to cover overheads of running such operations & maintaining profits.

PPW Express are gone & so is our money, lucky we only had 2 x £4.95 PPP left with them.

The most bizarre thing is on their email recommending the Con Man formerly know as Home Textiles (Wajahat Shafi of Sahfi Salar Enterprises Ltd) & his Parceltree / Parcelgiant website STAY AWAY!!

I guess for the short term Parcel2Go will be getting most of MSE'ers Business with their Special Offer Half Price Offer until Sunday 5th when quoting HALFSD3

    Don't Forget Parcelforce48 is £10.99 &
Parcelforce24 is £11.99 with £150 Insurance via Paypal Postage & you can drop them of at the post office

That's may lack of linking skills. Must of been like that for ages, shame no one spotted it. Will amend now.

Edit: all updated. I think it will have stemmed for my over keen ctrl + c and ctrl + v.
  • Armitage, sorry if I offended you but I knew it had to be something like that.
I maybe should have worded it better but I am tired and totally peed off with the whole parcel situation.
To be honest, I have better things to do than spend hours per day finding out the cheapest most reliable way to get my parcels delivered to my customers.
I am fed up to the back teeth of stating X amount for delivery to my customers only to find out that the company I intended to use has gone belly up or has drastically increased their prices.

    It's soul destroying *sobs*

We always state the Parcelforce Paypal Prices on our listings & any difference gained is like self insuring yourself for when you do have to use them

No its fine. I'm probably the most defensive untrusting person on this thread! So I can more than understand

Well slightly sad in a way; a company which had given us a lot of piece of mind, and one that I thought that would be a courier solution for the foreseeable future and one that I thought we had a good relationship with appears to have gone, £200 with it.

From this day I think the market will be much changed and my moves will be much different.
