  • dee123, this thread has been a nightmare to follow today.

As matchsticks said don't use parceltree. Hang fire and see if ppw get sorted over the weekend. Come early monday morning see what the situation is and act accordingly. We're currently booking with Express Packages Deliveries, more expensive but came today and got us out of a whole.

    yeah tell me about it,

absolute nightmare, going to hang on until monday, i managed to get some money refunded from ppw, hopefully they will be back up,

just feel bad for the people on here who said they brought £100 - £1500 worth of prepaid vouchers, that sucks.

good luck people, going to be following this thread very closely.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

    bargainbunney,

no mate, i didn't escalate or open a dispute, i just checked my account and few hours ago they just refunded me,

I logged in to file a dispute but they refunded before i did lol. mind you i didn't get the total amount back, paid for 3 only got refunded for 2.

if you havn't been refunded, try and open a dispute, it may just work, or they may have closed shop for friday and only got around to refunding some customers and maybe they'll do the rest monday??

all just assumptions though, good luck and let me know how you get on,

I had a delivery booked with PPW for today and had no collection, just checked and they have refunded my paypal payment.

Dissapointed that they did not colllect although I am relieved that they refunded without me having to chase them for re-booking/refund, was worried in case they said they'd tried to collect and no one was there or something..

I think I owe PPWExpress this for excellent service I have received over the last few weeks since I moved on from p2g and interparcel. They refunded 5 times on delayed collection and delivery from around 50+ parcels I booked with them. They has 01x number and customer service was good ... slow to fix things with DHL on 1-2 occasions but overall seemed OK. I luckily didn't had any prepaid payments but would reading messages from everyone it seems they are in the process of making refunds ... whatever is the reason for them going offline. I am holding my judgement !

The fact is we and it seems most people have had more problems in the last 2 weeks than in the whole 6/7 months everyone's been using them. As I've said before they have been by far the best high volume courier agent we have used.

The sound advice is, hold firm and see what happens.

I used to send 15-30 parcels a day with PPW but now moved to DPD.co.uk (not the same one recommended by claire12!!! by the way). It is much easier to track shipments.
I think it is much better option rather than staying with PPW, as they raised their prices lately at around 35% for my international shippments. I am only disappointed that they didn't give me any notice (spending £700 you would expect some sort of notice), apart of that I was very happy with their service even if Paul sometimes was playing funny.
But honestly I think that they eventually started to loose to much money and this is the reason of why they ceased trading. Will have to use Interparcel again for domestic shippments.
