Thanks for all the above advice. I did use the emailing facility to contact IHG. Alas, I received a reply stating that the matter was "still under investigation"! They also suggested I should contact Braclaycard again. I really do "smell a rat" in all of this. In fact I note that Barclaycard are also very slow to award points when I have used my card for normal shopping. The 10,000 bounus points I was promised - well, it's no longer the points that concern me. It's the principle that truly concerns me. Does anyone know if IHG Customer Relations has a POSTAL address here in the UK/Europe where I can send a registered letter? I think the emailing format is an excuse to "fob off" people like oursleves. I am simply amazed at how poor their customer relations are. One side basically "passing the buck" to the other!. Thanks. Ryan

Just to let all know that I have had NO luck with getting my 10,000 bonus points from Priority Club. They failed to contact me within seven to ten working days as promised. As my last hope I have written to Holiday Inn Customer Services. I am now not even getting my normal points earned from using my credit card. I earned 1100 points last month - and yet these points have failed to appear on my account. Somebody at Holiday Inn/Priority Club have really messed up. I am at the point where I am going to chuck both Holiday Inn and the halpless VISA card. Probably the poorest customer services I have ever experienced with a credit card company.

Hi, thank god for this thread, as I was going to apply for this card as I am a PC MEMBER, and recieved a mailshot about it today.
I am going to email ICH now to say why I will not be taking up the offer...
Thanks again0 -
I have fired off an email to IHG about this, and I will see how they respond...here is a copy of what I sent :-
I am emailing you just to let you know I received a mailshot today (22nd November 2008) from Visa Card (UK) about taking a Priority Club Reward Visa Card and receiving 10000 points as a reward.
Well, obviously I was interested, as I am a Priority Club Member, and so I did a little research on the internet, and went to my first point of call for all things financial, which is MoneySavingExpert.com. Imagine my surprise to read all the negative comments posted about the poor customer service of both Barclaycard and IHG, and how they ping ponged the blame back and forth.
Here is the thread regarding it :-
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/show thread.html?t=1190549
Now, speaking from my personal experience of IHG customer service, it has been all good, but when I read reports like I have in the thread, it makes me very wary of doing future business with Holiday Inn, due to the customer who isn't happy not get the resolution they are seeking from you in a prompt and satisfactory manner.
I hope IHG will enquire into the Priority Club Reward Visa Card being offered to UK residents to make sure Barclaycard are treating your customers well and properly.
Thanks for taking the time to read this,0 -

It's always good to have people point out the problems though, especially when they are "potential customers" - hopefully it will help to make IHG reconsider their partnership. Thanks. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -
Just to let all know that I have had NO luck with getting my 10,000 bonus points from Priority Club.
I have had no points added to my account and after calling today to try and sort it out have decided to cancel my account due to poor service.
And yours.
How's this then? They created a new account for me and eventually transferred the "10000" points across to my existing one. When I checked, there were 20000 points in my account. I asked them to cancel my card and haven't had a reply, but after my latest hotel stay I logged in to find they've added 10000 activation points!!!!
Not only that, but they seem to have added base points as well, which would be accrued if I paid for my hotel stay on the PC Visa - well I did pay by card, but not the PC Visa - go figure

I hear what your saying, if you have good service you tend not to comment about it.....but the fact a number of peeps are having a prob suggests to me it is probably just the tip of an iceberg...:D0 -

Like you, I think Priority Club/Holiday Inn is really good and service has been great. My problem lies with Barclays and Priority Club Visa, which unfortunately is having an adverse effect on the hotel's public image. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0
