I'm in the same position with only 10k bonus points given and crazily chasing both priority club & barclays for the other 10k.

Thanks guys for sharing your experiences and let's hope they somehow manage to sort out that mess soon.

Oh nooooooooo! I just got this card to get the points. First experience of using card is not a positive one as trying to register my card online and the website is down!!!

Haven't used it yet but when I do I will report back if I get my points

  • I signed up in January 2009 and the promotion was for 25,000 points.
I used the card in the 90 days as they stated and guess what ? Only 10,000 points awarded. I have been passed backwards and forwards like everyone else.
Does this mean they are in breach of contract ? does it mean any money I owe them is now void if they have breached the contract?

    NO, NO NO.
You cannot get out of paying your bill because they have messed up your points.
I really would suggest you avoid non-payment, otherwise you will get lots of charges.

You cannot justify not paying, jsut because they've made a mistake on points and you will pay dearly if you do this.
A judge would never agree with you that it's justified.
  • It was just a thought....oh well back to the phone calls.
Why do they continue to do this when so many people have had the same problem?

Oh I don't know - Since signing up for mine last month, I've had all the bonus point credited to my account so they can't be too bad

  • After having no response from Prioriy Club Visa re my missing 10,000 points, I have complained to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

They are looking into it and I expect a reply soon.
  • Just happened to me to, got the 10,000 but not the other 10,000. Customer service said they were aware of a problem and will add the points manually so at least they didn't pass me around, but the proof of the pudding will be when they actually get added. Makes you wonder as this has been going on so long if they are plain incompetent or trying to con people, which lets face it is pretty stupid as this is a sign up promotion and will not encourage further usage!!

I applied for this card ages ago and got accepted.

After around 4 weeks, there was no sign of the card so I phoned them and they despatched another. I received the PIN notification letter on both occasions but no sign of the card.

7 weeks have passed since then, they're the most useless credit card company I have ever seen in my life.

I'm a platinum elite member of the "priority club" scheme (I have > 130,000 points) and they treat me like I don't exist. It would be nice to get the extra 10,000 bonus points but I really cannot be bothered now.

For anyone thinking it might have been stolen in the post or whatever, I checked with the Royal Mail and Priority Club Visa and there has been no activity on the card and apparently the company doesn't use the Royal Mail or something? I'm beginning to think they use some sort of courier, but I've never received any notification of the sorts.
