    Starting Limt £100
    Increased to £200

This was after my 4th statement. Didn't get a letter informing me of my increase. Only found out when I checked my account online. All good though. Feel like i'm moving in the right direction.:D

Just checked my Capital Card Account and found the same results as Mr Tes. I also started at £100
My advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience.

I've got one with £100. I've got about £70 spending from month 1 which will be paid in full by DD in a few weeks, so at the moment I'm 79p under my £100 limit. Month 2 and 3 I'll probably hit near enough £100 again because I buy a lot of train tickets (normally use Natwest but want to keep using this one and paying so it looks like I'm reliable). Does a £400 increase sound too much to be hoping for? The people that say they went from £100 to £200, that's pretty disappointing.... do you spend a lot on the card, and pay in full or not? Trying to work out if they'll do the same to me :(
  • Starting £100, upped to £200. Appalling as paid in full every month once or twice, made many purchases. About to check my credit rating. Had an "arrangement" on my file which I settled about 6 months ago. Wanted to buy something for £250 until payday. Gutted!!

Started £200 always paid in full every month
After 9 months or so it went up to £800.
Recently I stopped using it, just making maybe 1 purchase every 2 months.
Now they have put it up to £1400

Cor, Old thread dragged up! :D

For the record £250 opening in 2007 increase to £500 where it now stands (and wouldn't expect any more as I screwed a few payments up....)

Initial limit £500 raised to £1100 after four months and recently increased to £2100 after two years of perfect history.

I have a poor credit history but have managed to clear my debts, I have a capital one classic card it started at £200 and it had just been increased today to £400, I normally spend about £150 a month on it and pay it off in full.

If you carry on paying this card in full every month from now on,don't expect another limit increase for about 2 years....
