I got rasied from £100 to £300 but i am pretty sure its because i spend peanuts on it, rather than using it to the point they see me as a whorthwhile customer :)

Not sure if i shouldnt just cancel and reapply, or move elsewhere. When i first got it i had a bad credit rating because of problems i made for myself years and years ago. I am since much better off with a nice healthy credit report and savings yet here i am with this !!!!!! card!

My t&c said I could only have £2500 max for this credit agreement, I would have though everyone was the same?

My agreement was taken out in several years ago so was probably different.

I got accepted and received a capital one card last week, which surprised me as my credit rating is pants - £12K between 3 CCJ's and 3 or 4 defaults about 4 years ago. I got an initial credit limit of £1000 which seems good considering. I guess with this history this is the best deal I'm likely to get for the next couple of years?

hell thats good and by the posters on the thread your limit will go up to £1600 on 4th statement well done TFD just look after it and it will be a good tool for when your credit file is clean of nasties!

I've got 2 other credit cards (Cahoot and Barclaycard), an overdraft with Cahoot and a Next account - all open for several years, and haven't had a late payment in over 4 years, so it's just these nasties that get in the way of mainstream credit - I'm counting down the days til they're gone!

It definitely seems like a good initial limit - clearly Capital One take more notice of recent credit behaviour than most other lenders.

My capital one started on £200 and went up to £500 on the fourth statement but they have not increase it since and I paid in full every month for 2 years so I think they only increase your limit once.
