Yes
It seems strange though, considering the amount of time I held my previous card with them. If they had wanted to keep me as a customer, then why let me close my account in the first place? lol0 -

Just to add to my comments about Capital One (8 years never had an increase), I mentioned I'd even put money in a Capital One savings account to show I was a good customer. I recently signed up for a free credit check http://www.annualcreditreport.co.uk and looked back at the searches and surprisingly found a search not by Capital One but the [now] bankrupt Landisbank. Obviously, I've removed those funds and I doubt there would never of been a problem but it would have been nice to know Landisbank were involved.0

Well, it appears that if you havent had a credit limit increase by the 4th Statement, its unlikely you will at all, based on everyones posts

on my 5th statement with them and no increase, this is due to them losing my 2nd payment and charging me a late fee, have had this removed and noted on my report, but depending on who i get through to they say its because i paid late and they cant increase it!!!! doesnt matter that they have had the payment and applied it to the wrong account they are useless!!!

Mine started at £200 as my credit rating was shot to bits through divorce issues. Raised to £500 after 4 months and then £2000 after a full year. I closed it a while ago but noticed on my latest Experian report it is marked as closed (or satisfied?) with a limit of £3000, so they must have raised it as I was closing it!
For the first wee while I repaid in full, but quite soon wasn't able to and that's when the limit started to rise. I was always just under the limit and paying a whack of interest. When they raised it to £2000 I nearly maxed it in two or three months.
Fortunately, change of circumstances meant I was able to clear it.0
