capital one credit classic limit increases please input feedback

well im due my 4th statement have a balance of £27 i will clear it in full before my 4th statement is due i just rang them to ask about the increase and they said they cannot discuss it and it was done automatically!!!

i think that the3 4th statement is the only increase then it is random for your second increase more chance of winning over a tenner on the lottery lol

darcy - The only reason I knew about the increase was to go online and look, it took them another month to actually send me a letter and tell me theyd increased it! lol

I am not expecting another increase but hoping that at some point this year I can get a main stream card with a better limit. Although I am going to be moving house again ( DH in Army ) In either May/ June or July and I have no idea where yet lol, so I think I should maybe try applying before I move...but will I then have enough history to get one....hmmm decisions decisions!

Hes just in training the now darcy, just about to finish phase 2. Joined REME though.

Not too bothered what limit I get as the card is there to improve my credit rating. However I do know that when a card company sets a limit they take into account your total market exposure, so if you have 10k with one card, 5k on another and a 20k loan, don't expect to get the same. Also it is always better to pay off the total balance than the minimum because it shows an ability to pay. And it doesn't matter WHERE you spend your money.... £200 at Versace is the same as £200 at Poundland in the grand scheme of things. Paying it all off on time, everytime is what counts. Also, increasing or decreasing your limit in 12 omnthsnegatively effects another increase in that time-frame.
