I'm still struggling with this  but to be fair we've not been in a position to do anything about it for a while.

Do you want sliding doors or hinged doors?

Lots of people recommend Ikea Pax, although freestanding some people have bought those instead of built-in, depends if they fit your space though.

Looking forward to seeing some pics of your bedroom, can't wait to see your wallpaper.

    Hi TomsMum

We're going for sliding doors.. Saw some with lovely soft close on them at the weekend but apparently they're more expensive! Feel lovely though!

We're working around a chimney breast so think we'll have to go the completely fitted route.

We've gone for a pearlescent laura ashley wall paper, it went in the sale and ordered online so got Quidco cashback and saved a few pennies. Hope it looks ok! Will update the blog once it's done.

If you can stretch to soft close then go for it. We've got soft close on our kitchen units and old units in the utility. Soft close definitely nicer.

Don't forget to link to your blog when you've updated.
  • Will do!

As I was typing that post I realise I actually really want the soft close so think we'll go for it! It felt a lot nicer!

The kitchen renovations are taking forever! Did some painting today, plumbing, and may start laying the underfloor heating! Finally decided on a colour for the kitchen units, have changed my mind to Blue Gray, which I am now not 100% sure goes with the wall colour, but I am not going to repaint it! Its taken two pots at £60, its going to have to do! All these incidentals are really adding up! Top half of the door is still at the Glaziers.
Cant wait for the floor to be down, making do with tiles left over from the last house, because they were really expensive and I really over ordered, but if I was choosing would have gone for something a bit different. Not heard from the cabinet maker, I hope the wood has arrived so he can get started on the units. Bit fed up with having no kitchen now, its the running water thats the hardest bit, but have only resorted to eating out once.
    Pawpurrs x ;)

Went to the house on Sunday, OH removed carpet from small front bedroom, and we had our first bonfire in the garden. Burnt the christmas tree along with some old dried rubbish that was lying around in the bushes.

John built a snow bird, and put a plant pot saucer on its head full of food, so we have a temporary bird table! ;)

Gazillions of birds coming to the feeders, they don't half make a racket! :D

well so much for starting the new year diferently to how it ended! plumber didnt arrive today (had a cold although sounded fine on the phone), mastic for extension has stopped as someone has forgot to remove the cellophane from the glass panels and it looks as if the plasterer has plastered over parts! how comes it always takes my missus to spot these thigs rather than the builders themselves! damaged tiles are still sitting on my driveway ive been promised that they will be collected tomorrow (where have i heard that before).

anyone good at garden designing? ive got a idea just trying to get down on paper. wheres that dirmaud guy when you need him?

Hi Stolt, thanks for the update - was thinking of you on the way back from counselling this evening and wondering how you were getting on. Just sorry that it isn't better news. :(

I think the BBC garden site has a garden planner on it somewhere - remember playing with it a few years ago when I was toying with trying to deck over part of the back yard here. Should go back to it now we've got a proper garden to play with!
