  • oh wow suiside, something to definitely look forward to! I wouldn't worry about not doing it yourselves ... sometimes you just need to 'hand the keys over' and enjoy the results :) We've done that a few times now. It's not all about MSE but also how it makes you feel i.e. good and less stressed!

;)Kitchen is coming along a treat, its at last looking like its coming together, underfloor heating put down yesterday and we have started putting the tiles down. Maybe by the end of the week the makeshift kitchen which is in the sitting room, can be moved back in to the kitchen! Then its a waiting game for the cabinets, to arrive! So pleased so far, getting better at this DIY malarky! PLumbing tick, plastering tick, moving electrics tick, tiling tick! Painting tick!

Indeed, no stress, I definitely can't be dealing with a 3-6 month bathroom project with my life at present! Can't wait to see it all complete. Lowri says she's not going to use it in the 9 days that Andy's here so it'll be like changing rooms! :D

I bought the shower at Wickes last night before it went back up to £199. It markets itself as aquatronic but had Triton logoed somewhere discreetly. Anyway, offered it up with taps etc to the tiles and think it's goign to look lovely! It's being started a week on Monday by this threads very own BootyUK (?!). Not so MSE not doing myself however we are extremely busy with work at the moment and just fancy 'handing the keys over' tbh and having a brand new bathroom 9 days later! :)

That's a lovely shower Suiside, glad you got it at a good price. It's the one I wanted for the en-suite but as it is the guest room we had to draw the line as it would have cost more than the one in the main bathroom. We ended up with a cheapy Triton on offer at B&Q which is doing it's job but doesn't get used that often.

Did I miss BootyUK joining this thread? Where have I been? Probably a senior moment????????? Sorry Booty, but a belated welcome . I don't have much to add now as our renovation is all but done but I keep on reading and enjoy hearing how my DIY children are getting on :rotfl: .

    well done Paws!

suiside - I can't wait to "hand the keys over" to the kitchen fitters!

TomsMom - don't worry I feel like I've missed loads of new people.

Snowing here again :( doesn't look like it'll be gone by Saturday for building. Pray for heat people!

Would you mind keeping it there please Suiside, don't want any more here in N.Wales, we've just got rid of what we had last week. We didn't have much in the way of inches but once it froze it was deadly. I heard of 3 people last week who broke their arm/wrist. D-i-l wouldn't let me go out, she did all my basics shopping to keep us stocked up. She said if I went out and broke my arm who'd be able to look after TD - he's doing OK but not up to housework and cooking proper meals! So hang onto it, I really need to go out to get my hair cut on Friday and the hairdressers is up a hill. If I don't get it cut a scarecrow will have nothing on me :rotfl: .
