Hi everyone.
I have been following this post feeling rather foolish for the past couple of weeks, I purchased tickets for the prodigy and they came off my debit card...thought nothing more until one of my friends said she had a really bad experience getting T in the park tickets.
So anyway now that the "company" which is paperticket has gone, I have recieved an email from allcharge saying they are going to give me a full refund
so should i still cancel my debit card or should i wait for the refund?
thanks

Hiya Madge... for a start we all feel rather foolish for using them, so you are not alone, therefor not so foolish.. for people who really love their music and are desperate to see a gig,its enivitable we turn to these scumbags...its what they rely on. Myself, I'm not really in a position to be buying tickets, as a skint student, so I felt doubly stupid ( hence the user name!)
As for advice on what to do... I am wary of giving people advice, my hope was to give people enough info to make an informed decision, but if the money hasn't been debited from your account yet then I'd suggest you do cancel it... it'll save you the hassle of trying to get it back from your bank..
For what its worth I am going to cancel mine tomorrow even though the money has already been taken... I'm worried they may give my details away.
Good Luck everyone0 -

I would love to give you some background on this but I obviously can't in an open forum but if I was you I would certainly cancel my card tonight, especially if it's a debit card.0 -

The sad thing is, most of these scumbags rarely see a court and almost never see any kind of cell..
For me the whole thing is a lesson in being carefull what you say on these forums,my great fear is that someone may have followed me in my naive "wait & see/fingers-crossed" approach and as a result had money stolen from their account....
I think now someone has to take an across the board look at how tickets are sold... including the bands themselves, many of whom seem to be just glad to sell-out a tour, not caring their real fans get left-out and have to resort to these scumbags!0 -
My bank (LloydsTSB) have cancelled my debit card and in regards to getting my money back told me rather than them sending forms out to sign,I should print-off a copy of the paperticket website with the police notice, along with my conformation emails from paperticket and the company who dealt with the online money transfer, send that off to them and there will be no problem getting my money back.
Hope everyone else gets their money back too... the only downside is its the banks who give us it... & not paperticket, who seem to be home and dry with £2.5m of people's money.... ah the joys of Capitalism,eh !0
