  • Not til the end of Jan, so it might have to wait til after that til I can claim money from my bank if they fail to deliver.

Got a (non-automated) email today saying simply that you can't cancel once an order's been placed and paid. Which is BS because I asked them to cancel before they'd even begun to process my payment. I told them as much and expalined the Distance Selling cooling off period which entitles customers to cancel. I also pointed out that it says on their own website that they accept cancellations with a 50% charge! Which would be better than nothing. More as it occurs.
  • Did you point out the fact them giving you conformation of more tickets than you asked for is why you want to cancel...?

Their response sounds iffy, but you should (as you said) try resolve the extra ticket order out first of all. Be interesting to hear their response to that...

Also, I am sure like me you were hoping for more experiences to compare... Lets hope that is a good thing, i.e. they dont have that bad of a track record...

Sorry the above is for google to pick up. I have had a few hours to trawl the WWW as was bored and reding others edxperiences they are a con company at worst but at least you might meet joe bloggs outside the venue before hand and if thats the case you are asked to payb more than you already have because you now have upgraded tickets
  • hi, i emailed them late on tuesday to confirm if the payment had gone through but still no reply :( also i called my bank last night and they said there is a pending charge of £66.00 but i have to wait untill today to check my statement and see where the charge has come from. can't think of anything else i would have used my card for but a charge from paperticket (if any) should only be £40.00. but will wait and see anyway. if there is any difference in what they quoted and what they actually charged my banks dispuit department would take it up with the company - although how they'd get hold of them i don't know :$ will keep you posted.
  • I also bought the Russell Brand tickets. Just like some of you guys I only started the research of this paperticket website after I paid for the tickets. Now I regret it. It's too late. The payment has not yet gone from my bank account. And I have not received any extra charge bills. I'm waiting to see what will happen next.

http://www.readingchronicle.co.uk/printstory.php?s=1&i=4166 Paperticket are mentioned in here - unfortunately you've been ripped off, I advise you all awaiting tickets from them to fight with the bank for a refund, ASAP.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

News from me. I got an email from Paperticket!

I have kept calling my bank everyday since I bought the tickets. My bank told me there is no pending payment. That made me puzzled...why papertickets still has not claimed the payment. The answer is now clear--I got a reply by email from Paperticket.co.uk just minutes ago( I thought they never answered emails). They said they have received my order however they can not put the order through because I paid with my maestro card which they no longer accept. They said the seats will still be on hold for me and will be in touch with me over the next couple of days to see if I still wish to buy the tickets.

There is no doubt that I am NOT going to buy their tickets. I regreted it so much about the payment was done. I am lucky enough I used a mastro card to pay for it. My bank did say, if I did not receive the service I will be able to claim the money back in 10 weeks. But that will be a lot hassle.

I am going to tell the Paperticket about my decision. If there is any more news I will keep this post updated.

Thanx marleyboy.. You say we've been ripped-off and maybe we have and yes they are mentioned there, but no specific details and in all the threads as well as google there are very few people who have actually been scammed..... I could make the same assumption you have but we're looking to hear first-hand accounts of paperticket..

Why would a company hold your tickets for a few days to sell them to you? WHy not contact you straight away? Dodgy !!!!ers
  • Paper-ticket i thought was a well known scam operation. They have a whole load of scam ticket websites.

Run by a guy called Terrance Butts

go to www.google.co.uk and search "terrance butts tickets"

Not good reading for anyone waiting on tickets
