Same ohoh. Bought 3 tickets for K.O.L 3 days ago without checking about them, I was just relying on google for the tickets, the price was good but now too good to be true. I always bought until this time on ticketmaster but none were available...hope...hope....no money taken out yet, and no email confirmation...never again.0

Your post and your situation are identical to many of our prediciments, so if nothing else I hope this thread shows you that your not alone. If you read through it you'll see we are still waiting for someone who's actually been scammed off them to share their experience.... The same can be said for those who got their tickets, but there is accounts of people getting their tickets on the night... (from dodgy tout types, though)
Suggest you moniter your bank account and at least make sure they dont take extra money from it...after that I think your in the same boat as us & have to wait it out...Heres hoping!0 -
Paper-ticket i thought was a well known scam operation. They have a whole load of scam ticket websites.
Run by a guy called Terrance Butts
go to www.google.co.uk and search "terrance butts tickets"
Not good reading for anyone waiting on tickets
Yeah, you are dead right Terrence "Butts" or one of his others alias's is a full-on con-artist... and makes millions doing it..(A read of Both Evening Standard & Daily Mirror aricles proves that..) But I didn't find any mention of him being connected with Paperticket... Can you you give the thread of the source of this connection between Terrence Butts and Paperticket..?
Thanks... For everyone else wanting to look into it the Mirror article about this guy(who it surely is,despite the alias) the link is: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-sto...5875-20685997/
The Evening Standard link: http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/art...ites/article.do is broken but simply go to their home page and type "Tickets Scam" into their site's search engine, You'll find the link to the article under: "Tickets to Games on offer from Swindling websites".
As you'll see, no mention of Paperticket... If anyone knows a lot about IP addresses maybe you could compare the company who own papertickets with that of those who own "summerfestivals online", Terrence Butts' company, who as I said are Scammers..
I will try my best to research it and let you all know If I find any link between them... I'm also going to get an update from my bank and will keep you posted with that.
Just like to say thank you to everyone who's posted on this thread. I shall raise a glass to you all & toast a world without touts or ticket scammers!0 -
ive never luckily had to deal with them myself, but I wish you all luck in at the least getting your money back.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Hi, I'm new to the site.
Found this thread whilst doing a search for paperticket.
I ordered 2 tickets for Russell Brand through the site a couple of days ago. I immediately got a confirmation email telling me that my order for 4  tickets was successful and I was going to pay £145! I thought there must have been an admin error so emailed them straight away. Then the doubt about the integrity of the compnay sank in, and in a panic I cancelled my bank card so no money could be taken from that account.
Reading all about them, I am glad that all I have to do is wait a couple of days for a new cash card, rather than fight for refunds etc.
If payments haven't been taken from your account yet, I would suggest you doing the same. Inconvenient at the time, but better in the long run.
Thanks0 -
i ordered 4 tickets - £230 for the killers yesterday after trying to buy them on ticketmaster. i then googled it and came across this forum and panicked.
i was straight onto my bank and was told the only thing i can do is cancel my account, and get issued a new card. which is what i have done.
there was no payments pending, but i am a bit worried as i had to put in my phone number when buying them.
i am SO glad this topic was here, as i would have waited, thinking the tickets were coming, and might have got scammed.0 -

I'm glad you feel this thread helped you, its the reason I tried to concentrate on this particular company, its the one in which most people seem to stil be using.
The drastic action you took will at least save you having to sweat it out with fingers crossed, hoping you'll get your tickets, which is where me & others are at.
That being said, we are still waiting for real proof that paperticket are total scammers or anything that links them with this Terrence Butts dude who's under investigation, but at very best they are touts and shady ones at that.
So can totally understand what you did.
As for getting to see The Killers, a good option would be going to another city which still has tickets...cheap hotel & good excuse to visit somewere else..if not as ticketmaster may have mentioned seatwave ( who I wish I'd heard of before!) They seem to be a legit dealer in sold-out tickets..
Good Luck!
As for everyone else, as you can see the thread has dried-up some so ask people you know,at work,Uni,College ect... people on other forums, facebook, bebo or myspace you chat with online... lets try get some more accounts of peoples dealing with paperticket (good or bad) !!
Untill we hear more,I personally think the jury is still out..0 -
Suggest you check out the following link before taking skintnstupid's advice to purchase tickets from seatwave... http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews165542.html0

Its my understanding that seatwave gets recommended to people from the official outlets and while trying to find out more about paperticket by asking friends & people I know, few had ever heard of paperticket but have heard of seatwave and quite a few have used them...
I didn't give anyone advice to "purchase" tickets from them I said try them, (which after reading this would mean looking at their site to see if they are secure and doing a quick bit of research, before even thinking about giving your details away) However, I should have done so myself before mentioning them as a possible option and do apoligize to everyone.
If they are dodgy then you are quite right to post the link on this thread (Reggie1066), the whole point is to reduce the risk of people making the mistake of using these dodgy site so thanks for correcting me and alerting everyone to the link you put up.0
