    Easy apple chilli jelly.

1 carton of value apple juice
1 lb sugar for each pint of juice
half to 1 teaspoon crushed dried chillis per pint liquid - depends how hot you want it
    optional knob of butter
3/4 jam jars washed and warmed in the oven at 100c for 10 minutes.
jug filled to the top with boiling water and leave to stand.
    3 saucers in the freezer.

Put the juice, chilli and sugar - butter if you use it - in a large pan and heat slowly until the sugar is melted.

Boil for 10 minutes - stir from time to time. Skim any scum off.

get one of the saucers and put a desertspoon of the boiling liquid. Leave for a minute and push the top with the back of a knife. If it wrinkles it is done. If not boil for another two minutes and test again.

When it's ready let it stand for 5 minutes.

Get the jars out. Empty the jug and put apple mix in with a ladle and pour into the hot jars. Make circles of greaseproof and when cold put on top and either put the lids on or fasten paper tops with rubber bands.

It is fantastic with roast meat, sausages - anything really.

They're extra good if you sprinkle lightly toasted sesame seeds on top.

Ever tried home made salsa? It's amazing how much better it is than that rubbish in a jar.

    1 x tin tomatoes (drained)
    2 x limes
    4 x chillies (I like mine hot!)
    1 x pkt corriander

Basically mix together the juice from the limes with the other stuff chopped up, add a little salt and pepper (and sugar if it needs it). A little zest from one of the limes can help too.

Really simple but one of life's pleasures.

I can't find the suffed cabbage recipe - any chance of a re-run?

    Thanks,
    moany

Try vodka - easily slipped in your everyday tea/coffee and no telltale smell on the breath ;)

I think the main thing is there is freedom of speech on the boards as long as you stick to the rules the poster did not and people found it distasteful so they used their freedom of speech to complain.
Why don't you send the mods an email if it is a problem?

It’s a poor attempt to drum up support for distasteful posts. Why would you want them?

Can I ask, what if I didn't find a post distasteful. Why does your opinion count more than anyones elses. Thats what I find terrible. That one person, can complain and even if nearly the entire rest of the board doesn't find it wrong, it gets cut. I didn't read the original thread but anyone who finds a post distasteful and needs it to be deleted should think about finding another hobby than posting on the internet.

If you truly find something so awful and unpleasant on the internet, in my honest opinion, you shouldn't be on here. It's only words for goodness sake. They are not reaching out of the screen and punching you on the nose. Now that is unpleasant.

Also, going back to the persons family reading this stuff. If one of my nearest & dearest had just blown their brains out or whatever happened, I WOULD not be on MSE. I would be a little bit more occupied than that.

Did I delete it? I am sure loads of people complain about posts but they don't get pulled? It is up to the mods and he crossed the line.

As for your last comment you don’t have to be a blood relative and do you know how people deal with loss not many people just instantly break down!
It works both ways but it will only get pulled if it crosses the lines of decency or legality that’s why it was pulled.
I am sure the site owners would rather not have legal cases against them just to keep a few people happy that they can post anything they like.
Do you think this is some secret society outside the realms of the real world?

    Stewed Revenge
Take some resentment. Let it simmer for a while. Add some bile and a touch of spice. Stir up, while increasing the heat. When it is boiling, add a little hypocrisy according to taste. Chill for several hours, it's always best served cold.
  • Meringues (thanks for the spelling) are great if you make custard or something, to use up the whites, as you say.

I don't care if they are passe, the mustard and honey thing sounds lovely.

You make egg nog with the yolks, NDG............the whites' make meringue.

I'm surprised your daddy didn't tell you that!:j

How is he these days? You've only mentioned him about twice a day!
