Please will you stop being so offensive. Many of my friends are idiots, and it causes them, and me, great suffering and embarassment.
Also, there is no need to swear to get your point across. You have cheated the obscenity checker, which is a pretty rotten trick to play, and offended me and my idiot friends.
Thanks.
I am sorry, I agree with you.;)0 -

Three people similarly close to me are depressives (different types of depression) and all three would twist the knife when subjected to their illness often going for the maximum pain and ugliness than they can create. They sound psychotic not depressed. (in my opinion)
Depressed people tend to shy away and want to disappear not to cause maximum carnage.
Mind you there is a world of difference between clinical depression and going to the doctors depressed.0 -
...I'm very much in favour of free speach and not in that terrible pc - 'You have freedom of speach as long as you don't say stuff I don't like' way. Voltaire and all that "I may not agree with what you say" stuff. But........
shouldn't that be 'speech'?

I prefer the Kentish spelling speach.
Oh all right then, speech it is.0 -

That could have been written by my Dad. In fact, maybe you are him...?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
DudleyBoy showed that he had a mistake and shows a lot about him to admit that he may have made a mistake. that is not an issue and a compliment if anything.
the squeeling and running to the mods happens all the time - especially by a couple of people that have Thanked you for your post. the Thanking is not the problem but the hypocrisy of agreeing with you and then going and doing the same thing themselves. i agree with you about the squeeling but you agree that just the content of the original post should have been removed.
more importantly which was more of my concern was the tone of some people who seemed to be 'happy' at his death.
i do not have a problem with a man in his position making a financial loss or bankrupcy or whatever - but i do have a problem at some forum members being happy at his death and saying things like he deserved it and much worse.
that did happen and is an issue.
I agree the only reason I reported as I thought it was not something I felt one of the family members should see (rightly or wrongly but you can only imagine what they are going through).
I was also embarrassed for some of the posters I hope they were joking (but it was not something to be joked about)
If it was just a squabble about something else I would not have had a problem.0 -

Gosh, thanks for that. I'll alert their respective doctors.0 -

Anything's possible. I don't remember having a daughter, raising her in Blackheath(?) and her going on to be a lawyer but then I do have a notoriously bad memory.0
