I presume they have taken prescribed anti-depressants (for a short depressive episode) but have not been clinically depressed as the profile you described does not match the diagnosis.
As I said there is a vast difference from having short bout of depression and being clinically depressed.
I am sure if their are any people on here how have suffered clinical depression would tell you.
(Personal I think anti depressants are handed out by doctors to easily now belittling what real depression is.)

I'm not go9ing to comment further on this point- I respect their privacy, but your surmisations are not correct in reference to these specific cases. I surmise, in turn, that it is exacytly this kind of thing that makes requesting and giving medical advice cobtrary to the code of contact on MSE (as I think it is).

Well, it is your opinion that Dud did not stick to the rules, and I would accept that as being representative of thin skinned people everywhere. Go down a high street and spout the kind of things you agreed with and see how people take it. It is not illegal but see what happens. (you can even apologise at the end if you want)

I think our extremists are the thread cancelling taliban. As for laws, why? I can predict your response to that, you will say it is so obvious that there is no need to answer. Well, suppose the law was that you had to spell 'has' correctly? Laws have to fulfill a purpose above pandering to what irritates a minority.

Stick with the truth. I agreed with someone's right to express something, not with what they said. And suppose I carried out your experiment, what would it prove? If I ended up beaten up, which is what you would hope, it would just prove that society is full of narrow minded fools who happen to agree with you. Certainly, what I think your prediction would be I agree with, but the conclusion is not what you would like to think it is.

If you can't see it you can't see. The thread was of bad taste and the OP should be glad it was deleted to save him embarrassment as it was offensive and it had been quoted so the mods had no other option.
If you want to do some good talk about the economy rather than spouting the same thing over and over?
Your view was it was not offensive mine and others peoples view was that it was. Mods decided and pulled it!!
This is not some free speech site it is house prices if you want to post about someone killing their self use a different forum where I do not have to read it and like minded people can revel in it.:rolleyes:

So, recently we've had a good stuffed cabbage recipe from Generali....Pasture's is looking for bread reecipes. What other new recipes has anyone to share?

I tried a scone recipe from the September free leaflets from Waitrose, it was cheddar and discovery apple scones. They were the best savoury scones ever, highly recommeded by me. The only thing I'm making is hot whiskeys. Mine are pretty good, but strong. I put two parts whiskey, two parts water one part lemon juice with manuka honey to taste. I heat the lemon juice and whiskey so the whole drink is steaming, unlike most who add the boiling water to cold lemon juice and whiskey. I'm not sure whether they help por whether they get you so tiddley you don't care if they help, but they are good nonetheless.
