I don't buy it anymore, 44p in MrS, what a joke, they can keep it. It's all about the economy tomato puree (26p), pearl barley, split peas and soya and lamb mince for big beany stews now.0

I have about 3 jars of Morrisons sauce in the larder. I tried it before but I didn't like the taste. I think I shall give it another go and add some other spices or yogurt etc next time. Had it with chips (trying to do the chippy style).Lucylema x :j0

Our Mr T only does the 20p ones but I put onions, coconut and sultanas in and generally have leftover chicken from a roast in.What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -

Tesco Value one is 19p, I think I bought mine when it was 4p
They are still cheap but when you have bought them at the old prices these are massive increases.0 -
ok its not a value one but lidls 59p jars are very, very nice.Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.0

Asda have increased theirs to 22p.0

A pot of curry powder, water and cornflour is cheaper now.
I didn't mind 4 or 5p but 44 is ridiculous unless they've changed the recipe (I doubt).

I bought a few jars of SmartPrice when it was 6p a jar.
Last Saturday I softened some chopped onion, frozen sliced mixed peppers and mushrooms. Stirred in the jar of SP curry sauce and then added some diced turkey. Let it all simmer for around 20 mins to make sure it was thoroughly warmed all the way through, while cooking some pasta (OH doesn't like rice!) and served with a small grilled naan bread that had been in freezer for a couple of months.
Delicious, quick and cheap.
