  • Bumping this up because I want some ideas as well.
I've got the Morrisons 5p jars.

Was thinking of onions, mushrooms, peppers, quorn (or lentils or chickpeas) all stir fried and then chucking in a jar of sauce but would love more ideas.

  • I just dry fry some mince and add to that, or I have added to veg and made a veg curry.

I bought mine for hubby as I hate the stuff. He slings in a bunch of whatever veg we have in and does some rice... anything from cauliflower and brocs to onions and beans.. he adds meat if we have some in.. diced chicken/turkey/pork whatever..

What's the difference between these curry sauces and just using 2 big spoons of curry powder mixed with hot water?

I do exactly what oystercatcher does - inc the quorn. I add a bit of extra cumin/coriander/curry powder too though ;)

We only tried it this week - very hard to get hold of round here.

We added a splosh of home made apricot wine, some dried apricots, raisins, apples and a chicken breast that was hanging around in the freezer....was delish.

I tend to make a skinflint chicken chow mein with mine.
I shred a bit of leftover chicken from the roast and add a tin of beansprouts(got some for 6p recently at Mr T),pack of 8p noodles (cooked)and a few cooked peas .Chuck in a large bowl with the curry sauce and zap in the microwave :D

Is the curry sauce nice? What are the ingredients?

I will give them a try. I bet it is nice with scrambled egg in it.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I have bought Mr T value curry in the past but have just bought a Mr S jar (the T ones are in tins and I think you get less in those).

Has anyone tried both and which comes out best?

I know they are only 4p or whatever but if one is nicer than the other I may as well go for that one.

    :)
