I dont like the Mr T one I find it really oily (well the one from our local Tesco's is anyway). I use the Mr S basic curry sauce (we just bung it in with chicken and serve with rice).

My DH is a fuss pot and doesnt like sultana's so I sieve the sauce so the sultanas are left in the sieve but the sauce with nothing in is in the bowl lol. (I have them in mine instead).

I have used Mr S' 9p jar as an alternative to a tomato based curry...keeps the variety going! ;)

Is this not a very old post rehashed? Reminds me of an old thread. Just asking cos our Mr T still charges 12p for theirs...and if its the one I buy there isnt that many sultanas in it? I add my own along with some coconut when I use it.

I get my delivered by Mr T and mine last month were 4p each. Are you talking about the value ones ( white with a red stripe and piccie of curry on the tin)?

I like both tesco and asda ones. I think I prefer the tesco...

Yes, they are a bit sweet and have sultanas in. I make mushroom, veg or chick pea curries with it. Or occasionally just have the sauce with chips. My son likes it although hubby isn't keen. It is more like chip shop curry sauce. Sometimes I add chilli powder or jalpeanos (from a jar) to jazz it up a bit! Very quick and handy to have in the cupboard.

I take it it's quite mild then? The kids will take curry but it has to be mild for DS2.

The asda smart price noodles are quite nice, I use them a lot with veg stir fry to bulk it out a bit. Not much taste in them, so I usually just use the noodles and rely on flavour from my veg and spices.

I find that I have to add a good heap of plain cream (or yougart) to the Tesco sauce when cooking for it to be mild enough for my youngest DD. Its trial and error really to get the taste just right for everone. And at 4p a can it is not costly to experiment!

I use the Morrisons version as it's the only one that doesn't contain celery that I have found (i'm allergic to celery), I think it was 9p a jar when I last bought some a few weeks ago.
We all love it in my house, I just throw in any meat and veg I have and serve with rice and chips. Dead easy to do, either on the hob for 20 mins or in the slow cooker.

I use Mr S's curry sauce, I use it with frozen veg and leftover roast chicken. My toddlers will eat it because it isn't too spicy. My Mum uses her in the slow cooker to make mince curry or sometime just pours it over chips.
