FFM, 1.8lb gain is a bargain for all that! Well done to you for continuing to be within your limits and to everyone else who has reported a positive result this week
I'm reading Sports Nutrition (also from the library of course!) Interesting stuff about how strict dieting and excessive exercising can reduce your BMR by 10-30%
Anyway, all looking good here! On track with calorie intake (slightly under 1600/day) and this is now my 6th week of exercising at a rate of 3-4 hours per week. I've done two 1 hour cross country runs, 35 mins outdoor cycling and 30 mins on the treadmill. Will probably do another 30 mins on the home equipment this weekendReally hoping for a STS on Monday *crossed fingers*

Missy, sounds like you've got to grips with your balance of food and exercise. Based on the book you are reading do you think you were undereating and overexercising? and that had affected your BMR?
They've jazzed up the BMI calculator on the NHS website http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Healthyweightcalculator.aspx?Tag=

FROM THIS> 1200 cals/day + average 7 to 10 hours exercise a week
TO THIS> 1500 cals/day + 3 to 4 hours moderate+ exercise a week
and I'm trying to to get...TO THIS> 1970 cals/day + 3 to 4 hours moderate+ exercise a week
Once I've finished the book I hope to have a better idea of why I keep getting stuck, and what I can do about it! I have made progress though, so I'm really happy with that.
I like the new BMI calc, it came up as 20.3 for me whereas my formula says 20.4 :rotfl:0 -
according to the wii fit my bmi is rubbish. i did an extra 15 mins today because it was the weekend.
was very unmse and had a microdermabrasion. I'm REALLY tempted to go for the 10 course thing, i couldn't beleive the yack it sucked out - i have really bad blocked pores on my nose and it's just emptied them. IT felt like having my face vacuumed - v odd!0 -
