To say i am happy is an understatement! I can now get into size 18/20 clothes and can even fit a pair of winter boots, ones that come over the calfs, as i couldnt before as they were too big
  • I don't think she has FFM:D .
    Great news babykat - well done:T .
Dragon - thank for the update. Not a nice situation for Dr Dragon but I hope it ultimately saves his sanity. I hope you get some answers for your own symptoms soon. Doesn't sound much fun but as ever you speak lightly of it.
Interested in the thoughts on women of a certain age being invisible. Being just below the suggested age threshold I shall see what happens. Loved your description of the zone Marion:D .

We didn't go out for dinner in the end but settled for a sw comfort food evening so hopefully i remain on target for a complete fourth day. Must plan the next 3 days menus tomorrow & go to butchers for the months happy meat supply.
We've recently stopped buying milk and are using dried skimmed milk at considerably less cost and so I get the benefit of a higher HEA milk allowance with skimmed instead of semi,:j and dried skimmed milk seems a little thicker than actual skimmed milk because it is fine in tea.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Been so busy this week, not had time to sit and read the thread (just caught up now cos I'm in work lol)
Joined C at football training last night, I really am useless! We were doing dribbling exercises and ball control, I spent most of it chasing my ball up the pitch!! Good fun thou. :) and good exercise.

Edit: Woops, forgot to say well done Dragon!! :D

    sts this week:cool:
  • I have to report a 1.8 lb gain this week. It was completely deserved as it included 2 teenage sleepovers (crisps, choc fountains, pork pies, pizza, nibbles etc), box of chocolates, fish and chips, chinese, glass of wine, numerous pieces of birthday cake, cake at work

Total calories for the week was 15,115.

Although I don't like to see a gain, I do know where it came from. Unlike before when I originally gained my excess 3 stone by stealth.

I am well within my own personal limits but have decided to 'get a grip' before I end up back on the 'slippery slope'.

Currently reading a book called 'The no diet diet', it's about changing your view of food/eating - so I will report back if I get any 'tips'.

I have read that book ffm the tips in it are the usual ones, cut down on portion sizes, zone the right foods to eat and exclude the wrong ones like pastries, pasties, pizzas, chocs etc, it is nothing we all do not know but it is just packaged differently:rolleyes:

Last week I cooked the roast chicken from the Jamie Oliver ministry of food book as well as the roasted veg and carrots in orange(they were delicious even the kids loved them) so the family have asked for the same but with turkey for xmas, it was a lot of faffing around and my yorkshires ended up like flying saucers:rotfl: :rotfl: and in the bin mostly but the flavours were lovely, the gravy was gone so fast so going to do it with turkey and the kids have asked for gammon, it really makes a difference if you take the time rather than just get it out of a packet.:D

oFF INTO town in a mo, DS has found a deal on one of his x box games but can't get through to him that because we have to go into the next town, pay parking, petrol, find the shop, get the game and come home it is not a deal, oh well his personal taxi awaits:rolleyes:

Fortunately I have only borrowed it from the library and it will give me something to read whilst awaiting DD to participate in her lesson this morning - nice to know I'm not the only taxi service running on a Saturday.

I've bought me the Ministry of Food for my B'day or Christmas this year (OH and little monkeys will wrap it to 'surprise' me) - hated the programme because of the swearing, but some of the recipes looked good. Looking forward to 'receiving it' :rotfl:
