WHAT ARE YOU SAYING ABOUT SANTA FFM?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
still he won't bring me anything this year as i have been a Bad Girl this weekend. Been eating naughty cereal. PRetty much nothing else, but an awful lot of naughty cereal. And I broke and had sweetcorn with my chicken yesterday, a cardinal sw syn, unless you go green and HEB the chicken.
Christams shopping is finished, and everything nearly wrapped. Just got the food shopping to do now . . . .0 -
Morning all
Hope everyone had a good weekend. We sorted some more stuff and got a bit more in the loft. Yesterday I was in the mood to watch films on TV and managed to find three lighthearted and sentimental ones - Blizzard, Elf, and 50 First Dates - which all fitted the bill. I suppose it's the season for them!
Welcome back Bails - how was Morocco up to the point your leg started swelling up? It's a place I've often fancied going.
What a curmudgeonly lot of relatives you have Fitorbust! Both sides of my family are willing to muck in and help so it surprises me to hear that people turn up to a dinner without even contributing a bottle of wine.
FFM - you can be sacked for saying Father Christmas isn't real you know!
We're spending Christmas Day at my Mum's. My youngest sister and 18 year old neice will be there for dinner and then another sister and her brood will be joining us in the afternoon for tea and silly games. We'll all provide something towards the catering - my Mum is on state pension so there's no way we could expect her to buy everything.
We're having the hall, stairs and landing painted today. We weren't planning to, but DH made the mistake of touching up some dodgy bits with the wrong shade of paint, thinking it would dry lighter - it didn't! We normally do our own painting and decorating, but as its the stairs there's a very high wall and we would need to hire platforms to do it, so we went for the easy option and got a man in. We're a bit trapped though and not sure what to do with ourselves.
Have a good day everyone, catch you later.

bails great to hear from you:D
Xmas is just the 4 of us because the in laws are in preston and we don't get on but it is nice because we all agree we don't get on so it is extremely civilized and my mum lives in Spain and is off to Malta so just us, the brothers and sisters live in suffolk and Devon so they do their own thing, my kids love it in the house we went to preston one year but it was not the same, they had to wait for their presents, sit at the table for hours, put their presents away etc so eldest said no:D
My youngest loves the boxing day buffet, loves it, helps himself all day long:rotfl:
When we went to OH works do we won on the raffle £50 and a bottle of bubbly, then on ebay I put a bid in for a brand new bike rrp £189.99 for her starting bid of £49.99 and won it!! So, free bike for the eldest bonus0 -
Great result on the free bike Vic! :T
Morocco is a wonderful place Lois, it was my third trip out thereWe went for two weeks a couple of years ago then went back in the summer for 5 weeks as we loved it so much, holed ourselves up in a little (v basic) place up in the mountains which was a wonderful setting to be recovering in. This time we hired a car so could get off the beaten track a lot more. It feels like we've seen loads of Morocco but it's still quite a small area we've travelled round so far. I'm sure we'll be popping back there lots though and we're hoping to spend a year driving round Africa in about 10 years (hopefully with a family) so we can do more then too! :j

I’ve lost 1.75lb this week, that’s exactly what I had gained last week! The result over previous four weeks is a loss of 0.5lb.
This is the last of 4 weeks at 1750 calories/day so it’s all about the final week to see if I can maintain at this level! (Although I should add that my average last week was only 1645, that's because I wasn’t hungry beyond what I ate).
Today is my first anniversary of reaching target0 -
Congratulations Missy, that's a fantastic milestone! :T:T
Can I ask where you are in terms of your target weight ie spot on or a little lower or higher? Within your range of courseAm I right in thinking you've lost 3 stone? (sorry if I've got that wrong
) Maintaining I believe is by far the hardest part of this so well done you!
Forgot to answer your question too - I'm hoping that the infection is just a freaky accident! It wasn't just a normal cat scratch so I think that had a big part to play - with 4 cats I get scratched all the time and nothing has ever happened (even with the weakened immune system). Even though I'm in a lot of pain I definitely wouldn't give them up thoughThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Lost 2.1 lbs this week
quite happy with that result as I've been feeling pants all week so not been to the gym.
Went back today but just eased myself back in gently with a swim.

Sig is up to dateI'm not going to hit my target by xmas, I will have to lose 10 lbs by next monday :rotfl:
11 stone is my final target, so my challenge next year is to maintain. I'm not upset to not hit my target, as I'm just pleased to have gotten this far.
My mum is down for xmas, and on the 27th we are going down to Penzance to see my granny who I've not seen since last summer, when I was 17 stone, so I'm expecting a few gasps
