Thanks Bails :) I'm glad you think it was a one-off about the scratch.

You're right I lost 3 stone and that was the easy part! Maintaining is a lot harder, but I also think I had a particularly rough ride with trying to get things to balance for most of this year.

Ideally I'll stay at the lower end of BMI 20-21. Today I'm a tiny bit under but that's no bad thing, as I'm planning a little break from my strict control for a couple of weeks :D

I promised FFM a little summary, so here it is!

    Weight summary – 52 weeks
    Today: 08 st : 00½ lbs
    1 year ago: 08 st : 06 lbs
    Average/year: 08 st : 02¼ lbs
    Highest: 08 st : 08½ lbs (post-holiday...)
    Lowest: 07 st : 12¾ lbs
Number of weigh ins above 'upper limit': 3 :o

    Calorie summary – 44 weeks
(excludes 8 ‘holiday’ weeks where I wasn’t counting)
    Average daily intake: 1395
Lowest daily average in a week: 1053
Highest daily average in a week: 1735
Number of ‘off piste days’ (over 2000 cals): 6
Highest in one day: 2453 on 2 July - ooops!

So Sunday tea with Mr Al Fayed it is then! Granny should we wear a red rose so Vix can identify us or should we let her guess?

  • Missy, congratulations on the 1st year since reaching your target.

    :bdaycake: :EasterBun :bdaycake: :EasterBun :bdaycake:

Here's some imaginary treats that won't wreck your achievement :D

I'm glad you've upped your average calorie intake, I'm sure you will be able to continue maintaining at the higher level. Based on my own figures and our other stats being so similar.

Interesting your definition of 'off piste' days being over 2000 calories. I've just had a quick check and I've had 92 days in the past year that went over 2000. These were all after I had reached my target weight and a lot of them are when I attend meetings/courses and cannot control the food type. Most of the others were connected to meals out or takeaways, some to chocolate indiscretions.

There were 11 that went over 3000, although 6 of these were when I was on holiday in the summer.

Perhaps the daily variance of calories keeps my body relaxed so that it doesn't go into 'starvation mode', 'cos it always knows that something good is just round the corner :rotfl: .

Just incase anyone is reading this and thinks I'm a bit slack/blaze (sp?), I do keep a close eye on my weekly calorie intake and balance out the higher days with lower days.

Hope that my figures can also give hope to other maintainers, although I may be 'obsessive' about monitoring my calories, I do still enjoy my food and 'let my hair down' from time to time.

    FFM :)

This time of year I like to wear just a little more than that .... you feel the cold at my age.
