Wow! Not only did it smell good it tasted good too. I bought 2 packs for the 4 of us, and there was enough leftovers to freeze for a couple of lunches during the week. Not bad for about £13. Only cost me 900 calories too
I shall sit here now all content like

Hope everything goes according to plan Lois! How come you're putting your furniture into storage? Have I wrongly assumed that you were planning to let your place furnished? You'll be missed on here so I do hope you'll be able to post from time to time and make us all envious with some updates
Thanks Missy - the house has been marketed as furnished or unfurnished, and we were hoping to have secured a tenant by now so we would know either way. As we haven't, we've decided it would be easier just to state that it's unfurnished, and put the furniture in storage.
I'll definitely let you all know how we're getting on whenever I can.

FFM - You might be interested in this one! I played with one of those online "weight maintenance calculators" and did a reverse lookup for what a woman of my age and height would theoretically need to weigh, for 2000 cals/day to be her maintenance calorie needs.
It came up with 13 stone 13 lbs (sedentary), 12 stone 13 lbs (lightly active), 9 stone 8 lbs (moderately active) and 7 stone 0 lbs (very active)0 -
just in case i dont come back on later/in th emorning have a happy christmas everone.0

Missy, thanks for that, you know me very well - I was interested. Just did a google search and came up with http://www.healthleader.uthouston.edu/calculators/wm-women.html
That gives me 1494 sedentary, 1554 light exercise, 1793 moderate and 2031 heavy exercise. Couldn't do a reverse look up though.
So that fits reasonable well with my calculation of 1765 assuming I do more than I thought I did.
I've just spent 5 hours Christmas shopping (my definition of hell on earth). According to my pedometer I did more than 10,000 steps - 5.1km. So today is definitely a moderate exercise day.
I've treated myself to a real mince pie as a reward for all that hard work - I've told OH that anything else will have to come off the internet. I shall now spend the rest of the day on the couch - complete with knitted blanket and copious cups of tea(my definition of heaven on earth).
